Which means every time Sukuna is casting it, it's being undone by the DE but then Sukuna is recasting it so the DE is nullifying it and basically it's a battle of attrition. I'm not sure why that would be the plan here, why not just use it on Sukuna himself, but my best guess is a mistranslation somewhere or it's just explaining in a really bad way that will make way more sense when the plan is actually revealed. Maybe it's a bait by Yuta or something. I can't quite say but with fan translations, usually it's the translation that's confusing so best to wait until the official translation to know what exactly is going on now

From what i understand it goes this way. That domain might have the ability of 2 sure hits Yutas ability to copy which is closely tied to rika, which may be why shes absent. And jacobs ladder which is a second sure hit, yuta can add to his domain. Sukuna is able to defend against the later because its still imbued into the domain. Thus hollow wicker is an anti domain technique, as we saw in a previous panel sukuna doesnt want yuuta touching him at all, perhaps because he fears the possiblity of yuuta copying his CT , thus he avoided contact, now hes avoiding the domains sure hit because he assumes from what megumi knew of yuuta that, the sure hit might involve copy. Which he is trying to avoid, we must recognuse that sukuna is facing a opponent he doesnt fully understand and he cant simply dice him up and move on.

My best guess is that Yuta can choose any of his copied techniques, to be the sure hit strike of the domain. Each sword on the ground is a technique, and the sure hit is a seperate attack, that has the properties of the chosen copied technique

A domain expansion is an ability that requires a barrier and a cursed technique, you have to imbue a technique to the barrier and you have your domain expansion. Sukuna is saying that most likely yuta copied angels ct and then imbued it into the domain, so the sure hit effect of the domain is angels ct, meaning that sukuna will be cleansed if he stops using hollow wicker basket. But at the same time sukuna is opened for all incoming attacks that are not the sure hit of the domain, so sukunas win condition is to regain his domain expansion before getting cleansed from existence either by Yuji or by the domains sure hit effect, the other option for sukuna is to kill either yuji or yuta but since sukuna is on the defensive is almost impossible achieving this unless he has an ace up his sleeve. Yuta have to weaken sukuna so he couldnt defend againts Yuji and then Yuji can hit him until sukuna is out of megumis body. Whichever of this scenarios happens first declares the winner of the fight.

It's known that you are able to dodge ANY KIND of sure hit affect if you start the anti domain expansion technique before the sure hit effect starts. A barrier is not an instant cast, there is a very small delay till it's full cast

Also this is exactly what i thought when i first read the chapter. Yuta has Jacob's Ladder as his Domain Technique but since Copy is his main technique hes still able to use it through the medium of the swords spawned within the domain. It makes me feel like Yuta's true domain functions as blank slate which he can channel one of his copied cursed techniques into for a sure hit while keeping the others available for him to use without restraint. My guess is that since Rika isnt present currently and anytime Yuta uses a copied technique he calls on Rika maybe she becomes the domain at which point Yuta not only has access to his full arsenal of techniques but can use them at the drop of a dime with little to no downtime save for snatchin up a new sword. It may even be possible for Rika to manifest partially or fully in the domain aswell given its name but THAT part is pure conjecture and hopeful head cannon cuz i love Yuta lol

hey! love the content, just wanted to correct a small mistake. Higaruma's domain does have a sure hit - the whole trial is the hit. it was explained when it was introduced that old domains used to have sure hits but not sure death, as in a domain that forces a concept on you that isn't death. it was also explained that those domains were easier to pull off (since the "cost" of just sure hit is smaller) but ever since domains turned into sure hit sure death they became much harder to pull off and much stronger

Copy gives him access but he still has to train remember. And the limit is 5 min normally. I was assuming he can choose what CT is the KO tech

Yuji is the perfect vessel i always assumed it was for sakuna only but what if yuji is supposed to be the vessel for the merger and Kenjaku making the rule was to not only make sure the merger can still happen but to also inform sakuna that he has died and to initiate the merger when he is prepared

From what I understood, Yuta was applying Angel’s CT same way Sukuna uses Malevolent Shrine to apply Dismantle/slashes or Gojo’s Unlimited Void. It would’ve hit Sukuna immediately and try to separate him from Megumi like Jacob Ladder’s did.

It's likely that Yuta's Domain's sure hit can change to match whatever techniques he applies to it via his copying. Similar to how Sukuna's sure hit just immediately tears anything within the Domain to shreds. It's likely that Yuta can apply ANY copied techniques to his Domain, changing the sure hit. Copy Infinity? Boom, Infinite Void. Copy Thin Ice Breaker? Boom, anytime someone moves within the Domain they immediately take a full brunt attack of Thin Ice Breaker. Also similar to other domains, it appears he can choose who to target within it too.

Yuta just chose the sure hit technique to be Jacob’s ladder, cuz it’s the one that would force Sukuna to hold the hollow wicker basket, since it’s the most effective one. I assume the hollow wicker basket works bc the ladder doesn’t fire off until the basket is undone, since it’s how all sure hit effects worked up until now: they aren’t constant fire, it’s just when u fire them, u r guaranteed to hit the target. So, nothing out of the ordinary. Also, the swords are the techniques he copied, am I wrong? They represent the fact that in his domain he can use them as much as he can.

Yuta has a sure hit and all of the other techniques available to him from the swords. I imagine he can pick a technique to use in the domain as the sure hit. He gains unlimited uses of coppied techniques, but it seems to be one use per sword for the non-sure hit attacks.

A theory for Yutas domain that I like is that all the swords in his domain are techniques that he’s copied. And he can use each of them until it breaks. We don’t know Yutas limits to he himself copying techniques whether he can only copy and use one or two at a time before needing to copy another and replacing one if he wanted a different one. But in his domain, he can use all the techniques he’s ever copied before while wielding the sword associated with that technique.

I assume the auto hit ability of Yuta's domain would be curse nullification only "after" it lands. Since hollowed wicker basket is preventing that auto hit feature, Yuta probably doesnt want to risk imbued a sword with it due to some restriction with copy. As seen in JJK0 and even here, it theres a semi limit on Yuta's spamming ability with copy. Either he has to queue the abilities up or recharge the copy with some level of time instead of energy. Thus he rather guarantee that it hits with his domain rather than use it to nullify Sukuna's 🧺.

I think the Sure Hit affect being Angel's technique simply counters anything that can overcome the domain. Like how Sukuna beating Gojos domain with his own simply because of its size causeing Gojos domain being unable to contain it. It forces Sukuna to abandon trying to DE in any real capacity, it also means he can't use his techniques generally. The reason that is such a huge factor was introduced earlier in the chapter. He needs his technique to be able to block Yutas attacks (using mini slices allowing him to block/hold the blade with out touching it).

For how yutas works, what if it doesn’t necessarily need rika to bite someone, what if it works by yuta understanding how it works, cause he can use cursed speech and nothing has happened to him in regards to rika, I don’t remember who explained the technique to yuta but after the explanation what if yuta observed how the technique works and is able to copy it, but in cases where yuta quickly copies the technique rika needs to do some sort damage for a threshold to be able to instantly copy the technique and understand how to use it
