Exactly!! I love NCT songs but their solo work stands out to me cause they are very coded to the individual. I must say YUTA's solo made me soooo happy cause he barely gets highlighted and NCT has never dived into this genre so we didn't know what he was capable of. He did such an amazing job with his mini album. I just wish they promote him like they did with the other members solo work.

I'm actually surprised that many Nct fans don't know that this is EXACTLY HIS style! from the artistry, cinematography, and darkness/going crazy feeling to heavy J-rock, the fashion/styling ect. is all exactly what he always truly was/is and just couldn't show because of the idol image! this is his true color and self expression that he always wanted to do. he also wrote this song (actually 6/7 songs of the album) himself so no wonder it shows his true self!

Yeah, I'm surprised at most of the people in the fandom that was taken aback by the direction Yuta went for, when it's obvious that we'll be getting rock the moment he debuts as a soloist. The only worry is if SM will let him go that far or will it be mainstream rock that can be palatable to, well, the industry (SK).

Yuta's not my bias, stan Twitter/X would define me as a Dreamzen (they're my ult unit) but even I had gotten to know all NCT members and expected this from him [those same fans who also expected pop-ish from Haechan for his solo in 2025...which is, that guy's pure R&B, he had stated time and time again 😩].

Yuta is Japanese and passed SM Entertainment's audition when he was 15〜16years old and moved to Korea alone. And He has been an KPOP idol since then as a member of NCT127, but he actually loves J-ROCK, J-METAL, Japanese Visual bands. Interesting background, isn't it?

yuta has always gravitated towards rock and has openly talked about wanting to pursue the genre for his own music. whenever he shares songs on his radio show (yuta at home) theres always classic jrock artists being recommended. his covers have also all been rock/jrock songs for the past few years. he's friends with his idol, hyde, from l'arc en ciel too. his fans always joke about him being like not any other idol out there from his music taste to his aesthetic. and im so glad he's finally able to unapologetically share this side of him to everyone. yuta is truly a unique artist.

Yuta has always talked about how much he loves rock and how much he wants to pursue that genre! Some of his idols/favorite artists are jrock legends like Hyde and Miyavi! Rock and Metal are definitely Yuta's favorite genres of music and he's always wanted to pursue it musically if given the chance. He's also been travelling to Japan to get screaming/growling lessons and a lot of his big role models and inspirations are japanese rock artists like Hyde, Miyavi, and so on. This is soooo Yuta! The person that we've been able to see in concert in the last few years was only the beginning but his love of JRock has always been front and centre. He has been letting loose more and more in concert and we love to see it, more and more confident in the style he wants to pursue. When he does the Hello live stage (with Taeyong, Johnny, and Mark in concert) you can see that rock star swagger just dripping off Yuta the whole time.
