Bro! Street Races in FH4 was crazy! the dark roads due to no street lights, the rain decreasing visibility, the narrow roads with the random traffic cars during a tight bend/corner.. FH4 was just a whole vibe.

Horizon 4 may have only had one festival site, but it felt like an actual festival site. Horizon 5 has... revelers, and a stage. That's it. No rides, no Ferris wheel, no spinning/swinging ride thing, no booths, no tents. Horizon UK's festival site was a whole-ass metropolis. The main festival site in Horizon Mexico is essentially one single junction.

What about freeroam freeway races? This was the best part for me, you wait at the freeway, some1 comes, 1-2-3-GO with the horns - race from one end to the other, sometimes 10 people would gather, no matchmaking, no grinding or points or experience, just pure fun.

The only thing that I love about FH4 is treasure hunts, eventlab (super 7),an actual proper race track from lego speed champions which all made it's way into FH5 but aside from that I absolutely hate FH4 for many reasons and also Yuwan forgotten to mention the Vuhl 005 for the Mexican car culture bit

What the developers should do is bring back everything that made FH4 a great game, take what's good in FH5, and put together both games' elements for Forza Horizon 6. Maybe add some elements from the previous games as well (FH1: proper progression for example).

FH5 map is absolutely shit. The roads are not good, the map feels empty, like the abandoned airport is on one extreme, the city is on the other side of the map, the jungle is on the down right so the middle of the map feels empty as fuck, and the city honestly sucks. The only good parts of the fh5 map is probably the vulcan rally, the main festival and the small city on the far right of the map. What made fh4 map good is that it had 3 cities, 1 major city on the top and 2 small ones on the bottom, in the middle a jungle, which contained a lot of rally spots, incluiding a mining site on the middle of the jungle, a small mountain range, on which on the other side of it you'd have a stunning view of the flying scotsman rail road, and a breath taking beach. Plus fh4 had better exhibition events whereas you had a halo exhibition, you vs 4 motorcycles, the cyberpunk exhibition and other stuff.

I heard FH5 map was centered around the eliminator (who plays that?) which is why it’s so barren and boring. The ‘city’ ain’t even a city. A personal ripe: the Lexus LFA sound had a downgrade I swear. Colors especially yellow aren’t really yellow. Probably cause of the piss filter. I like both FH4 and 5 regardless of issues

FH5 has bigger/better highways to hit top speed on, and bigger map. FH4 has seasons which are great, especially winter driving. FH5 has the better DLCs mainly because of Hot Wheels, which is insanely fun.

FH5 atleast had some form of progression with accolades and upgrading and unlocking the festivals. Forza Horizon 5 free roam is lifeless and there is many things i dislike about it. In Forza Horizon 4 there is still up to 72 players in free roam on same map, and up to 12 players in Forzathon. FH 5 have nothing like this at all. It's like driving in a graveyard as there is barely any AI cars too.

I prefer FH4, as, at its Core, before all the Mike Brown Malaise (such as him throwing most of the Fanbase under the Bus to Replace us with Literal Preschoolers with that Lego DLC...) really set in during the Second Year, FH4 was still a very good Game, FH5, however, is a Terrible Game at its core, Improved by some pretty decent updates since Torben Ellert took over. The Starter Cars were still a little too High End in 4 Really (a Nova GTE, a 205 GTI 1.9 and a MK2 Golf GTI 16V would have been far more "real", all should have been pretty "Scrap" on Condition as well.) but still, all the Same, a lot more Plausible than 5's Nonsense! 4 Has More Houses Yes, 15 compared to 7, but it also has much Better Houses, I cannot see myself living in *any* of the Houses in 5, but I can Easily see Myself Living at Number 1 Castleview Road, Thatch Corner, The Gables, Lakeside Lodge or Sunflower Meadows! I am utterly Unable to Fathom why the Paddles are no longer Animated in 5, unless 5 is using the Older FH3 Build of the ForzaTech-M Engine (which would explain the Return of FH3's LOD issues at Distance as well...) either, its a Downgrade, however, I am also unable to Fathom why Horizon is Still "Miming" H Pattern Manual Shifts, when Motorsport has been Animating the Lever as Moving between Slots (if not always Successfully) since FM6. Oh Wait "it does not benefit Battle Royale" -Mike Brown (Literally! PGG confirmed that *every* Decision he made Regarding 5 was made around Battle BLEEP Royale!) ... sigh, thank goodness he is gone! Yeah, the Night in 4 Really is Night! the Skybox Light Source is turned off and it is Properly Dark, while in 5, which clearly has something *very* Wrong with the Lighting System, the Skybox Light Source is Still Active even at Night and is pretty much full Strength, so it still feels more like early evening even at gone 2 in the Morning! while in 4, as the Skybox Light Source is off and its Properly Dark, 2AM really does feel like 2AM! Hopefully Six will also have a Properly Dark Night Cycle again where, out in the Wilds, Your Cars Lights really are the only Light Sources! Beach Drag Racing is a Real thing here in the UK man! "Race the Waves" in Bridlington and the VHRA Classic Hot Rod Races on Pendine Sands for Example. The Ice Lake Drag Strip was a Little Silly however IMO! I think Drag Lights were Dropped for 5 however as PGG could never get them to Sync Properly at 30FPS, and 5 Still needed to Support 30FPS as it still needed to Support Base Xbox One. Hopefully the Drag Lights will be back for 6 as they will be able to force 60FPS (and Higher for PC!) running by only supporting Series S/X and PC starting with 6, and the Lights Sync Properly at 60+. FH6, as much as they can do at a PEGI 3 Rating (as Microsoft has *Mandated* one) *really* needs to have a Proper Story again, told with Proper, *Pre Rendered* Cinematic Cutscenes like FH2, as we are losing far too much Character Detail and Nuance with this "2 Static Characters just Chatting while the Camera is Zoomed out and Focused on the Car" Stuff that is *all* 5 Does! As I am *Not* a Fan of Top Gear, I am glad it has not come back for 5, however, I cannot *abide* Donut Media (which IMO, like Top Gear, makes Car Enthusiasts look BAD!) which replaced them for 5 Either... so naturally I was not a Fan of the Track-Tor (which is not even an Actual Tractor! its a Chevrolet Blazer based Swamp Buggy, they had to Fit it with a PTO (Power Take Off) Drive before it could be Reclassified as a Tractor!! The JCB/Williams Grand Prix Engineering/Guy Martin Racing "Fastrac 2" however is a Tractor, as it Started Life as a Proper Farming Tractor! the Track-Tor is a Swamp Buggy with a PTO Drive!!) either. I would rather 6 Stopped aiming at Children and Frats and Aligned with more Serious Minded Car Enthusiast Media such as 000, Octane, Evo, Magneto, Car and Driver, Road and Track, Motorweek, etc, to Provide a much more Grown up approach to Car Enthusiast Content that will not make Car Enthusiasts look Bad! True that 5 is missing a lot of the Really Quirky cars like the Final Fantasy Regalia, V's Quadra Turbo R V-tech, the Iron Knight, the Normal, Non Top Gear Version of the E350D Avant All Terrain, etc, and I hope 6 has a lot more Quirky Cars! Note: You cannot have a DeLorean License if you have a Top Gear License, and I would Rather Forza kept the DeLorean! The Drone Mode "In the Festival" Glitch is Present in FH5, but it only works at the Main Festival and Up at Horizon Rush. For 6, so Long as they can do it under the Age Rating and the Engine Supports it, they really need to allow us to Walk around and Explore the Festival itself IMO. Indeed, the Much Better, Cooler, "Blue Scale" Lighting in FH4 means the Colors look Far, Far Better in 4 than they do in 5 where they, Yellow Especially, are Bleached by the Far too Bright "White Scale" Lighting in FH5... 5's Lighting is absolutely Terrible and makes the Game look Significantly worse than 4 as a Result! Indeed, 4's Map, in having actual Corners as it was not a Flat, Baked, Dead, Lifeless, Sand Pancake, but had Hills and Grass and Flowers and Animals and Trees and Villages and *Life* , meant that you had to learn to Drive the Car Properly as you could not just Yeeeeet it as Far and as Fast as a Maxed out all wheel Drive, Racing V12 Twin Turbo "build" would allow along a colossal Straight... it also made 4's Map far better, as it was Built around Providing Good Racing Routes and not Providing a Large, Flat, Empty Arena for Battle Flamin' Royale, than 5's as well! 6 needs a Map like Horizon 2, Built Around its Car List, Providing the best Possible *Asphalt* Driving Roads and Race Routes for those Cars, and with Lots of Trees, Ditches, Rocks, Cliffs, etc to make going Cross Country a really Bad Idea to Force the Player to use the Roads! Shame they patched out the Photo Mode Bug from FH5.... they *really* need to allow us to take Proper Photo's of the Inside of the Car with a Proper, Official, Inside Car Option in Photo Mode come FH6! Shame they never Animated the Barriers and the Lights on the Level Crossings in 4... if they bring them back for 6, they really do need to make the Barriers and the Lights and the Warning Alerts work! Note: PGG has confirmed that all the Trains in the Horizon Games travel at Exactly 88MPH! Guess why... Yup, Left on the Road, Far Right on Politics! Everyone knows that, FARAGE WAS DIDDLED (naah, I'm taking the Mickey Mate! ;-P! ) seriously though, the Left is the Correct Side of the Road! its why I kind of want to see New Zealand or South Africa for 6, as not only are they Absolutely Beautiful and with Incredible Roads, they also drive on the Correct (Left) Side of those Roads. Given the Sheer Number of License Issues that PGG claim to have, they, I must admit, did give 4 a Really Vibrant and Quite Plausible Car Culture, while 5 seems to be more... "Whatever Microsoft says we have to add this month.." and very Random, there is no real Car culture in 5... note: PGG confirmed that it took so long to Get the Tsuru because it took them well over a Year to actually Find a Completely Factory Stock, Low Mileage, Near Concourse Condition Example to Scan for the 3D Model. The Only Season In 4 I did not like was Winter, and that was due to an Inexplicable Decision to bury a good 60% of the Roads 6 Feet Deep in Snow and make them so Slippery that Even Rally Cars on Snow Tires were just Tobogganing off on most Corners, had they left the Roads Clear or at least kept a Decent Degree of MU coded into them, Winter probably would not have been hated anywhere near as it was by me and most of the Playerbase. 5, well, I honestly Forget it even *Has* Seasons outside of the Sandstorm in Spring and the Snow on the Top of the Volcano in Winter, as its all just so Dead and Dry and Baked and Lifeless! FH4 not only had much more Diverse, and Location Appropriate, Traffic, it also had a greater Density of that Traffic when compared to 5! Seasonal exclusive Traffic was Awesome as well! Yeah, Edinburgh Felt alive! all the Shops, the Landmarks, the Traffic Lights, the Road Markings, the Trams, it felt like a City! Guanajuato, well, that feels like a little town in the Back End of Beyond that has been Abandoned and left to Rot since the Daleks invaded in 1962 and Exterminated everyone.... 4 Nailed Edinburgh, Modern Enough to Feel like a City, but not so Modern that Base Xbox One/One S could not handle it and dropped to below 10FPS like in FH3's Surfers Paradise, it had a Perfect Balance! also, it has that Epic PGR2 Easter Egg where they Literally Recreated, 1:1, one of the PGR2 Circuits! No! No Big Up! Mike Brown is Incompetent! he nearly killed Horizon stone Dead with his Absolute utter Mismanagement of the Series! "Not Hooray". As I said many times, FH4 really does feel Alive, it feels like People Live there, even in the Little Villages it still feels Alive! FH5, yeah, really does feel Lifeless! as if the Daleks really did Invade in 1962, Exterminate everyone, and the whole Area has been left to rot since! Bringing back FH3's way of Doing Pedestrians (able to move and walk about and Interact with each other, but Locked Behind Invisible Walls so the Game keeps a PEGI 3 Rating!) is something 6 Really needs to do as well as ensuring all the Towns, Villages, and Cities feel Alive with Modern Shops and Traffic Lights and Trams and Modern Road Markings and Bollards and all those things that made FH4 feel Modern and Alive despite being Ancient! Hated Winter...
