This interview is so fascinating. I can see how Yuzuru already set himself toward to Sochi four years ago. He was only just 15, but he knew that he needs to learn Englsih for his future. Nobody was able to imagine about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan in those days. Yuzuru had to move to Toronto for his skate...and got a gold medal in 2014. Life is cruel sometimes, but also wonderful. Yuzuru, you were born to be the King of Ice that is true. Yuzuru, Enjoy your life!

i came back to this video again after the victory last week. if this boy, this 15-year old Yuzu would know that someday far away in the future he would win not one, but two Olympics gold back-to-back, the first in 66 years. i hope this video would stay here forever so people could come back and follow the journey of a living legend.

2 years after this interview he won the biggest gold medal at Sochi olympics and 4 years after that another gold medal in Pyongyang olympics. And donated both of his olympics prize money (all of it!) in earthquake and rebuilding sendai This boy has been very polite and well mannered and answers all his questions well ever since. His family and the whole sendai raised him well and should be very proud of him. I am very proud of him!
