the thing about Mercy is that you have to know what you're looking at to understand whether someone is good. many people probably look at this and sneer, "he's just super jumping randomly, he's moving around mindlessly" but if you watch when he's super jumping and where, it's genius. there's a part on second point Havana where he's going around the right side to the stairs with Hanzo and he super jumps and uses angelic descent to make sure he's never in LOS of anyone inside. He's jumping OVER the door on the ground floor so, although the enemy team can guess or know he's there, because Hanzo is there and the beam is very visible, none of the enemies can actually see him to do damage. that might not seem like a big deal because, so what? it's not like it's likely he'll get one shot or smt, and there's two megas nearby and he has the Mercy passive. but taking unnecessary damage, even if it doesn't kill you, is the main way supports can feed. sometimes taking damage is necessary, and sometimes it's unavoidable, but if he took any damage just by passing by the doorway, that's feeding. so he avoids doing that by SJing when it's safe to do so. also, on third point, he super jumps at the choke, but he sticks to the upper corner, out of LOS from the enemy. he's able to help push point and he's able to physically get out of the way so he doesn't take damage and can still do his job. super jumping is an incredibly powerful tool, but like with all Mercy mobility, it's about doing it when it's safe and only to the degree necessary that it keeps you safe. I can't tell you how many times I've autopiloted and just super jumped because I can and then I almost get domed by an enemy hit scan lol Mercy is also one of those heroes who, if you only ever seen OWL mercy gameplay, playing her looks like a relaxing time for the most part lol Yvetal is in total control of his movement, and he knows how to stay out of the brawl and chaos. so it doesn't seem like a chill time lol but that is not the case in ranked, both because ranked is extremely random and less disciplined, even in high SR because it's still ranked and not OWL, and because, if you're not in GM, you're still learning to play her well, so things will feel chaotic and you'll be in unnecessarily stressful situations..and your team doesn't play like a high SR team, so it's just chaotic all over TLDR this is so awesome to see and I can understand why so many people think Mercy is easy. good Mercys do a lot of things that make it seem easy, and if you don't know what you're looking at, you don't understand the complicated and high IQ things they're doing.

I never noticed during the playoffs how frequently Yveltal uses Mercy's movement to try to bait other heroes abilities. That's top tire Mercy game play.

The difference is that all the owl mercys have proven themselves by achieving high ranks solo Q , unlike most egirls that rely on a BF to carry them cause they’re really ass. Not saying all of them causes I’ve seen good female mercys but most of them are really not good.

@@archiesutherland6127 there’s a ton of pros to using it, I used it to climb to top 500 w mercy. Pros include super jump through walls, flying out of pits, flying backwards or sideways to trick enemies. The list goes on, I hope this helps
