This is great. A fine and informative review. So unlike the current Netflix version of Halston. This reveals his real strengths and style

Fashion in the 1970s was one thing. But, I will always remember how l Couldn't wait for the decade to end. Everything in interior design and in some fashion, repeated the same colors of Rust, Brown, Beige, Dull Yellow, and a Fern Green. It was Impossible to escape these Colors. Even in major magazines, All the ads "featured" these dry, Old West, colors. Everything looked old, dark and antique. 1980 arrives, and those God-awful colors are Gone. Grays, Burgundy, Pinks, White and Black were the colors of the 1980s. New colors were more vibrant and they Felt Modern! So much nicer than those in the 1970s. Interesting video. Please do a video about another Great US Fashion designer, Oscar de la Renta! His gowns were designed to flatter a woman, to make her look Beautiful and Feminine. A most gifted designer! Halston was my favorite in the late 70s and 80s. Sleek, Modern, and Sophisticated!

Bravo. I just love Halston -- period. And can we just say that his townhome is just a pure dream come true and is as relevant today as it was then. Thank you ladies for the lovely commentary and I did not know that YSL was an armchair traveler - I figured he jet setted to all these fantasy lands, but come to find out, he is a lot like the rest of us and takes pleasure in just being the armchair traveler.

I will never understand why Des Moines doesn't have an extensive museum for his contributions. It would be a big tourist draw.

Usage of the word, “penultimate “ is incorrect here. Ouch.
