Thank you Trevor for bringing this true legend of music and important messages that united South Africa during the challenging times of Apartheid. I met her went she performed at a wedding in Harare at Sheraton Hotel (now Rainbow Towers) in 1986. I was hooked on her music since then.

I am deeply touched by the advice on not sitting down and feeling sorry for yourself after making a mistake. The struggle was real!I feel you Trevor when you made reference of you using peanut butter oil cuz you had no vaseline.Totally relate with Yvone’s story as well.Same here , grew up in the rural areas .Had to use the same and at times lubricating grease and i do remember using a certain fruit(damba)’s juice as a lotion-but that did not deter me from dreaming!I can safely say I am a successful global citizen as i write!Thank you for these mentorship plartforms sir!
