You cracked me up with your comment about the "Queen.'" Anyway, I love watching your videos when I get the chance but the one thing I can't agree with you is the fact that you have your purse on your cart. Omg, I am so paranoid about such things after someone broke my car window and stole my purse. I have been using crossbody bags ever since it happened. Also, a few weeks ago, another reseller who I occasionally chat with at GW had looked at my cart and decided he wanted the vase that I had put in my cart and asked if I could give it to him. I said no, I'm buying it. As we kept on chatting, I was checking out stuff on the shelves close to this tall shelf that has new packs of blankets and throws. When I turned around, on the shelf (with throws and blankets) was a vase similar to the one that I picked up and was thrilled that I now have a pair. But when I looked into my cart, the first one wasn't there anymore. That seller had taken the vase and placed it on the shelf hoping I wouldn't notice, so he can buy it after I had paid and left the store. This incident just underlined the fact how easy it is for someone to reach out and take something from right under your nose.

I decided to make jewelry bags for my booth. Last week i picked up about 12 totes of costume jewelry ....over 500lbs. So I am hoping they sell well...large bags....$25. I've been sorting, inspecting and repackaging all the jewelry with much of it being tangled. Lots of fun.

Good to hear your dad is better. Yes, Goodwill prices seem to have gone up on everything. Life changed after I retired. I put on 60 pounds and then took 30 back off and changed every stitch of clothing I owned 3 times in a very few years (except socks). If it wasn't for thrift shops, I would be running around naked. The price of thrift shop clothes seems to have just about doubled in a very short time.

@YvonThriftyRich3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, and I agree, I’m definitely not by American only either, I’m just hoping that soon there will be more balance with American based companies having things made here, we need to be sure there are enough interesting decent paying jobs in the USA too … and I’m definitely not saying our environmental protections are perfect here, but it sure doesn’t seem as bad as some of the products being imported from some other countries, I know I’m super leery to buy any kind of cosmetics made in China, for instance.

Hi Yvon, Glad your Dad is feeling better. Just wanted to let you know that both my parents worked for Hofbauer in the 70's to the early 80's. May dad was a machinist (he made machine parts for their production machines and repaired molds. My mom worked at the hot ovens transferring hot glass pieces with a large shovel type tool into a cooling tunnel that moved on a conveyer belt. Who knows, they may have had a hand in producing the pieces you have. Hofbauer shut their doors in the 80's, shortly after we came back to the U.S. Fun to see your pieces!

Hi Yvon! , on your double shelf that has the pottery there’s two pieces they are the kind of gray and blue. The one on the right looks like it might be a pie dish. The one on the left it looks more like a bowl and has a blue design inside. Can you tell me about it please. Does it have a heavy solid feel to i it? Are there any markings on the bottom? And what is your price? Thank you *** I also wanted to say that I think it’s wonderful that you’re doing some shopping for us. I think all of us will gladly pay a percentage fee on top of the cost of the item and the shipping. That’s only fair to pay for your time and skills.
