YXZ skid plate remove & reinstall

Video came in handy. Pulled my skid plates off today to change oil, trans, and both diffs fluids. Time to change fluids ~30min Time to reinstall skid plates ~2hours 😂 i can’t tell you how many times I wished I had a lift during that job.

Absolutely correct. Worst part of changing the fluids is putting the skid plate back on.

blue locktight is a must on just about all the frequent off and on bolts and more. Great video , had my yxz skid plate off so long i forgot the right way to put it back on lol

I’m actually on my way to pick up my daughter’s YXZ with the new Weller Racing turbo kit. I have high hopes for it and will definitely make some videos comparing it to the other turbo kits.

Much easier to do under a lift than on your back. 😂

I would guess that 1 yxz owner out of 2,000 has access to a lift. Show us how to do it without a lift while you’re laying on your back on the garage floor with your nose 2 inches from the skid plate.

Yep, I did it for 8 years. Obviously getting video of that would be unproductive.
