Did you stop doing that triple into the corner because it was a harsh landing or hard to stop?
@DesTroy81810 ай бұрын
Little bit of both, I remember it being really dry that day and slick in some places. It was just a practice day, I think I started going to the inside and it felt better

I’ve raced quads for my whole life and I just got myself a 250 2 stroke bike. Definitely wanna try this out. I know it’s a little complicated with the efi bikes but I would imagine it’s simple on a carbureted bike. Any chance you could tell me what you use?

Is that a thumb throttle? Do you like that over twist?
@DesTroy8182 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, I like it better than the twist

Lose massive amounts of gripping power with thumb throttle
@DesTroy8182 жыл бұрын
@@stevehartwell1861 I don’t grip the motorcycle with my hands. My hands are loose. Using massive gripping power in your hands to hang on is what gives people bad arm pump. I grip the bike with my legs. And when the track is hard pack dry and rough, I’m running a gear higher to relax the chassis and prevent as much wheel spin as I can. And obviously I’m not revving the bike to the moon, this was just a practice session, just riding and having a good time.

@@DesTroy818 im light handed as well, soft touch street or dirt. Point being our grip power comes from middle and ring fingers and opposing thumb. Being able to use the front brake, control the throttle input and counter steer a 2t requires a grip that's lost using a thumb throttle. Unless you have some physical disability, learn regular throttle.

Have you ever put a thumb throttle on your bike? There is a reason why I use/ prefer it. It’s not like I’ve never used a regular throttle, so I don’t really need to learn how lol. I will never argue which throttle is better or tell someone they’re right or wrong, but only explain why I prefer to use the thumb throttle over the twist. I’d suggest trying it yourself and acclimating yourself to it before telling someone else to do something without experiencing it yourself lol. Until someone pays for and pays me to ride my dirt bike and forces me to ride my bike a specific way, I will do what makes me feel the most comfortable and connected to my dirt bike
