I’ve stayed in smaller. It was 20 years ago, but it was a twin that stretched the length of the room, and a tv at the foot. It was so narrow I could do the splits and touch a foot to each wall.

Do you often do the splits in bed? Wait a second, don’t answer that! :-)

Thanks for sharing. I’m going to London soon. I’m staying at the Z Hotel Strand, near Trafalgar Square. I’ll be traveling solo, so not concerned about privacy. Plus, I’m going to spend more time outside the room, because of work, and I want to experience much of London. It’s been a hot minute since the last time I was in London. That said, it’s good to visualize where I will be staying.

But what about the sight lines and the sound???
@Tagg1555 жыл бұрын
Sound is easy...Encourage your roommate to listen to music with their earphones. Off the top of my head, as far as the sight line problem....you’re in England, you must have an umbrella with you....just pop up the umbrella, close your eyes and pretend you’re dropping a load out in a rainforest! I suggest an earthy smelling poo-pourri! 🤷🏼♀️😝 🤣🌂🙊🙈🙉☔️

I really think that a more convenient solution is just to stay in a hotel with a NORMAL door on the bathroom and not a glass outhouse.

Ive just booked the next size room up from your one and it only cost £50 for a Saturday night mate! Your right in the heart of London and the average price of a hotel room is £180 per night! For £50 its worth every penny

Bit of advice, if you go to London stay at the premier inns or holiday inn . Both are modern and cheaper than most hotels in London. You can catch a tube train going in and out of London every few minutes and it’s the easiest and cheapest way to get around. Also if you eat at weather spoons (pub, restaurant) they are fixed prices all across the UK so it’s a lot cheaper than other places , there drinks of beer and also food is a good price. Other places are so expensive unless your having a treat and a meal out one night .

Seeing that room would put a damper on my trip. The saving grace is the location. Room is small to begin with but feels sterile and uninviting. There is so much space in the bedroom area for art to add a little bit of warmth...but I guess that goes against the "ultra-modern" vibe (with no usb ports). And the bathroom setup...you said it all.

We share the same bathroom problems... WTF is THIS? A bathroom needs to be a sound proofed, well ventilated space with a bank vault door (okay maybe overkill). Are people actually okay with pooping out in the open? Maybe I'm just too sensitive but I dont want to hear, smell or see my wife, friends, family or anyone but my dog pooping.

When traveling the hotel is just a place to sleep, so a small room is ok. Next trip you'll need to do easyhotel to a real small room review :-)

I don’t understand why they couldn’t have pushed the wall back so you could have at least seen out of the whole window, strange. I don’t have a problem with sliding bathroom doors but a whole glass bathroom is pretty odd. Did they at least have fan for the bathroom?

You have forgotten to mention something dude. The Strand Palace prices are lot higher than Z's. When you do a review you should mention that as well. If you are someone likes to pay for unused space then go on. I would rather pay less for the same location with the complimentary cheese buffet, specially if I'm alone.

I don’t get the bed situation??? My hubby wouldn’t fit length ways in that bed ! He’s 6”3 ! Guess he would have to sleep diagonal and I’d be squashed haha Tv so close and large 😂 Makes a cruise ship internal room look “mahoosive!” I’ve had a worse toilet door and you’ve seen that ! Plus we paid about $200 for that ! 😆
