I believe I watched all the videos of Jay & Ari since I clicked on them a few days ago. They became my feel-good go-to KZbin right up there with GeoGeo and Audrey Hepburn. Ari is simply angelic and Jay is such a decent fellow. Together they show us what love and marriage should be. It is like watching a Happy Educational Disney series. You still have one more Vietnamese spring roll on the table. Did you finish eating it, or did you keep it as leftover? You can always cut the spring rolls into halves before eating them. Chinese students are trained to perform well in tests and exams, while American students are focused on being well-rounded. The Chinese national university entrance exam would be very tough, almost a homage to imperial exams in ancient China.

Hi Ari, just a little tips, my virtual friend showed me making these rolls. And she only dipped the rice paper in water for no more than two swish. Like literally no more than 2 seconds and then took iT out. And it s still quite hard. But after she got done laying the stuffings on top, the rice paper got softer and in perfect state to roll and not break. Maybe you could try it next time. :)

I think in China, most high schools focus mainly on math and sciences, while in America, most high schools promote a diversified curriculum. I finished high school in Hong Kong, and when I started college in America, I was able to enroll in advanced math and sciences courses, while I was required to take remedial English reading and writing.

in the US, students are encouraged to be “all-rounded”! For example, many jobs require good “people skill” (or “social skill”). Many “business” meetings require people to people interactions. A highly educated with great academic knowledge but lacks “people skill” may be unsuccessful in getting the “business” done.

The Chinese education system is so competitive mainly due to its large population, lack of resources (hence few good opportunities) and strong rival nations around its borders now and historically. Americans are luck with abundant nature endowment and the lack of powerful rivals on its borders (2 oceans on East and West, weak Mexico on the South and friendly Canada on the North). Couple with the strong tradition of Liberty (solidified in Declaration of Independence and Constitution), America is the dream land for everyone. This is why I decided to stay in US for my children.

In some American schools the competition is also fierce. I guess in China because of a huge population and scarce resources, parents generally believe that one have to be excel in academics to secure a stable and good life. Hence, teachers and students are all having severe pressure.

I do have to remind you that aluminum foil used in cooking is not always the best idea due to the Ability to resist salt and Acidic food such as lemon or tomato especially when heated the aluminum will start to leash out into your food. I've spent half of my life back in China and the other half in the US, honestly, I feel like the education system in China focuses too much on doing well in school to the point where I never even think of what I want to do after I'm done with school, even till now, this is my last semester in college, I still don't know what "I" really want to do after college, I know what my parent wants me to do, but not what I want to do. But in America, I feel like people who were born and raised here kinda have some idea about what they want to do because these people focus more on the "individuality". My point is, what's the point of having "good grades", if you don't even know what to do with it after college?

It is totally difference between two country. China is still a developing country and the population is almost three times of US but with limited resource.
