I can't find out how to set up increments properly. EG 5'+3": I set INC 3", but it adds extra time to my opponent's clock when I make a move.

The instructions when I received the clock were so confusing.. for months I played 5,10 and 25 minute games. I realize how dumb it sounds... today I finally decided to look up the instructions online. Your instructions were very helpful. Thank you :)

I love this clock! The only downside is that if I ever upgraded to a DGT board I can’t use it. But it’s great overall and it’s my go to when I’m playing with friends.

only thing I don't like is that it does keep track of your moves and shows it, can be a distraction when playin a tournament, also annoying when you wanna know your oppoents time at a certain time

Why is the delay is on every move?

Recommend leave sound on. You can think you have touched the clock but has not registered. It's your clock so it's probably more of a problem for your oppent than yourself but you don't want to win that way.

why does it say 40 and 60 if you made it 40 and 30?

The delay, does it only delay on the first move? Or all moves? Haven't found anyone who explains this.

Pretty sure it's every move. This is like the Fischer control in reverse--instead of crediting your clock some amount after you hit the button, you start with a "grace period."

When playing with time for 40 moves eg: plus sudden death time does the sudden death time get added to the whatever time is left when 40 moves have been played or does the sudden death time show up only when one of the opponent's timers has dropped to 0? Thanks.

The sudden death time gets added when the player reaches 40 moves. Also, there is a mode without the move counter enabled. In this mode, the time gets added when the time reaches zero. So, the clocks can do both functions.

Can you count up? As in, press left button, then the left time pauses and right timer goes up; press the right button, then the right time pauses and left timer goes up.

No; there is not a count-up mode on this clock.

+bbryant0620 Unfortunately, Zmart doesn't make any clocks with a push button. We can pass along the feedback for you, but the basic answer to your question is no.

+Wholesale Chess It doesn't have to be Zmart, but I would still be happy if you would pass along that information. Almost everybody I've seen online, and in person, prefers push buttons to the touch sensors. Are there any clocks, regardless of brand, which are of decent quality, cheap, with push button (not the rocker type), and with an easily readable display?

+bbryant0620 We have not seen any digital clocks other than the Chronos that has a push button like that. All Zmart clocks have a touch sensor, and everything else comes with a lever. But we will definitely pass along the feedback for you.

@David Troncoso Thank you very much, but I ended up getting one of the Chronos ones like this, though mine was right around $100: www.ebay.com/itm/Chronos-Clock-Chess-Black-Chronos-Chess-Clock-Best-clock-ever-/323280452650 Its operation is a little unintuitive, but it is a GREAT clock! The only problem, just like with most clocks, is that less-than-ideal situations can lead to the display being a little hard to read. Still, I haven't had really any problems with it so far.
