This past November The House of Staunton had a clearance sale on these chess clocks for a very nice price. I bought 6 of them with matching zippered canvas weaved cases... I have an extensive wood and plastic chess set collection and like to switch up my look when I take my equipment to play at parks, coffee shops, or just about anywhere. The only downside to them is the number of batteries they have to use to operate. It needs 4 C-cells but the manufacturer's claim is that the clock can perform for 1600 hours of playtime. That's quite a bit more than some other clocks that are more expensive on the market present day. FYI.

Can you count up? As in, press left button, then the left time pauses and right timer goes up; press the right button, then the right time pauses and left timer goes up.

@theduddha2 Is there a way to set byo-yomi periods to less than 1 minute with this clock? I'd like to be able to set byo-yomi to 20 or 30 seconds. I'm also assuming that the clock only supports Japanese byo-yomi. I'm not sure if any of the settings could be used to emulate Canadian byo-yomi, but it's fairly common on IGS and would be useful to be able to do either type.

From memory, it did have that option. But check first

I would have liked to see the clock run out of time. The display and or sound it makes. A good review anyway.

When over the display just flashes. No sound at end.

Whenever the clock reaches the minute mark left in the game, it switches to seconds and tenths of a second until time has fully elapsed. Very cool feature when it comes down to mere seconds left of game play.

Great review....can you set the Byo Yomi to count moves in a single period (say 10 moves in 5 min) rather than having say 5 x 1 min periods? Thanks !

hello, do those green numbers look good?

Nice. Does it switch from hours & minutes to minutes & seconds when there is, say, less than an hour left? Because "two minute chess", if you know what I mean.
