I am a married mom of 2 back at college (after a 20 year absence) earning a degree in Nutrition Science/RD. I am required to take Stats this semester and was lost the first day. I kept scrolling through Pinterest under stats help and someone pinned this video. The past week and a half I have struggled with z-scores and the proportions-my university professor and textbook was not much help. This video helped me so much! Thank you so much. I subscribed and liked.

Hey Tracy Mrs. Tarrou here...First off, thanks for sharing your story, choosing this channel, liking and subbing right away...if we could only get them all trained to do that we would have a million subscribers by now:) I help Rob with the general comments and wanted to reply to yours myself...we have noticed a lot of pins from teachers on Pinterest lately, but never realized until now, that anyone actually looked for "help" there...so "thank you"! Yet another place to target. It's hard work to groW an educational channel on KZbin and get viewers to realize how important it is for channel growth to like, subscribe and support the ads. I also work at getting the word out thru social media and looking for new ways to get his subscriber count up...my personal goal is 100,000 by the end of the year! (dream BIG right?!:) Congrats for taking the leap back to school and best of luck with your latest journey in life. I hope you continue to find the help you need from Rob's videos...he puts a lot of heart and love into them:) I'm blessed to live it everyday...Cheryl

I'd stick them everywhere, my laptop, notebooks, give them to classmates! It would be hard to get students to pay for them, I think you'd have to write it off as advertising. Maybe students could earn them by posting pictures of themselves holding before BAM and after BAM grades.

Well, I don't know anything about Statcrunch, but the z score formula standardizes your data to fit the Standard Normal Distribution. So, if your data is determined to be approximately Normal with whatever your mean and standard deviation is, the z score converts your data to effectively have a mean of 0 and a standard deviation of 1 so you can the standard normal curve table to find your pvalue.

On my z score chart the left vertical column is the z score to the tenths values and the top horizontal line of numbers is the hundredths value. Yes, the z-score is the number of standard deviations from the mean. I hope this helps:)
