*Historical context:* Zástup Jiných started around 1990 in the wake of thrash metal boom all around the world. They were from Bohnice, a part of Prague which is mainly known for infamous madhouse located in the area which might inspired their lyrical subjects for songs such as "Diagnosis of Decadence" for which the video was made - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5PbZX2cbqxjf80si=IqoZ-DnhDMNhoJwq. This song is taken from demo tape called "Labyrint" after which they've decided to sing in english and as a result this little EP was made in the end of 1992. It's nice blend of Coroner-like technical thrash with some funk elements in it. Certain sources suggest that they were even supposed to record an album in 1993 but it apparently fell through in the end and Zástup Jiných finished their genre change and around 1993/94 made two alternative metal demo tapes before calling it quits shorty after.

A lot of Western and Norwegian polymetered influences in this album. This reflects and captures the 'vibe' at the time. Changes in Russia, the Monsters of Rock concert, Mehsuggah came into view of the western culture.

Why did Eastern European thrash bands always take the same photo in the same pose, with a guy in a headscarf in the background? just like the band Hämmer and Master did lol
