Man, I’m really thank you for your videos. It’s really really helpful. It’s almost like an oasis in a desert of theory. People do really like to explain it with thousands of words that without any example doesn’t meaning nothing less than words.

isn't the Z-transform evaluated from k=0 to infinity?
@AdamPanagos5 жыл бұрын
The bilateral z-transform is from -inf to inf. The unilateral z-transform is from 0 to inf. Many people just use the unilateral since they're often only concerned with "right-sided" signals, i.e. signals that begin at some point and then go to the right in time. Hope that helps, Adam

may i ask why is the s[k]=1 , the k=-1?
@AdamPanagos6 жыл бұрын
That's just the particular signal that was selected for the problem. No real reason why, could have easily chosen many other signals to work with. It's just one particular example.

Adam Panagos Hey, i am Stück with a problem similar to example one. But there x(n)= (n+1) with n less than equal to 0 and less than equal to 2, (5-n) with n less than equal to 2 and less than equal to 4. should i go about it the same way?

As computed in the video, the z transform of the given signal is z + 3 + 2z^-1 - z^-2.
