When I first saw this video it gave me hope as a fan seeing other fans carry the torch. This project may have not gone the way we hoped but we all carry the flame within us. I hold onto hope that one day we'll see Trigger again in his own game.

Everyone who is talking shit like cease and desist from Capcom, I would like to tell you a little story about Bleemcast. It was an independently developed commercial emulator by Bleem! that allows one to load and play PlayStation discs on the Sega Dreamcast. Sony didn't like it and tried to sue them. In the end, Sony did not win any lawsuits against Bleem! The end. Although on the side note, company did shut down when the huge court costs became too much for the small company to handle. Today, something like that would not be problem due to huge fan support.

I remember reading in gameinformer about how Capcom screwed the fans who spent previous time away from family and other important things to help make this game. I'm happy the fans are continuing to make their dreams come true! I'll donate to making this game happen. I loved mml. This game was my childhood and I would be happy to see the 3rd installment come to fruition.

Well, originally you were supposed to not play as Megaman for possibly a big chunk of the game.

Just like Inafune intended :p Seriously though, the original promo/demo game had you play as Barrett while Roll and Tron were trying to get Mega Man off the moon. The final game was supposed to have both be playable.

You're thinking about Megaman Legends 3 PROTOTYPE, which was meant to be released before the actual game for $10 and you could only play as Barret. It was meant to lead up to the MML3 by getting Megaman off of the moon. The full version of Megaman Legends 3 would have featured Megaman through and through. Imagine how badass Megaman would have been with Barret's moveset.

You know, there are a lot of things I legitimately thought would never see the light of day. Black Mesa Source and Freedom Planet being two things, and things I thought would never get really far, SCP Containment Breach and Project Zomboid being another two things. But after seeing what I've seen, there might be some actual hope to this. There could be some chance, and these folks appear to be working very hard to make Megaman Legends 3 a reality, with or without Capcom getting involved, and I applaud them for that. Honestly, this team can take as much time as they need, I will wait a decade for this to get finished, if it means a functional product with a lot of love and passion put into it is the result. Good luck to the entire team

1. Capcom supports fangames with their characters 2. They cannot cease this developement 3. If by any chance they take these guys to court, Capcom would lose the case and money because usage of these characters are under FAIR non profitable use.

OldClassicGamer Actually, they can cease the development. It's their IP, they can do whatever they want with it because of that. One of the most common reasons why things get a C&D is that they take donations, and corporations don't like it when you are making a profit off of their work. I'm sure this project will finish, but I'm saying that you're wrong about how they cannot cease development of their own IP that they own.

EFraud They thought most of them are fan characters besides Classic design. Keiji created Mega Man, and with Keiji gone, Capcom is no longer capable of producing good Mega Man game.

Looks like we need more homebrewers and did anything ever come of this one? I think Megaman Legends fans best hope is RomHacking. If rockhackers get dedicated enough to hack Megaman 64 OR mml1 & 2 like they did to Super Mario 64 and many other games, they could build extra terrain, new side quests, etc. But we'll see what comes of it all. Or playing the original games as different models even, MML1 playing as other 3d models would be awesome. We need more dedicated homebrewers and RomHackers tackling the issue of continuation(S) (why not want more than one???) of MegaMan Legends 3 sense obviously CRAPcom isn't going to give the fanbase that.
