z1000sx micro video - how to fit the Kawasaki panniers (ninja 1000sx)

Nice one! I recently joined the pannier group, by buying a set of second hand panniers for my 2018 Kawasaki Z1000SX. I bough my ones from an auction website. They came locked and without keys, so had to drill the old locks out, open it, remove the locking mechanism and barrel and have a new barrel coded to my bike key. I put a video out about the whole process this last Sunday. I was advised to grease the mounting points so as to avoid them seizing.

Great video, just got a new 2024 ninja 1000, installed the paniers and was saying, that doesn't look right! Saw the video, was missing that love tap! Cheers

Did you say they fit full size helmet? I bought one and don't it being big enough to hold a helmet. These are KQR 28 litre.. right? I don't think there is a bigger set of panniers for 1000sx?

My shark spartan carbon fits inside one and my wife’s shoei nxr fits in one too.

@chisnsid thanks! Went back and tried my Shoei GT Air 2 and to my surprise it does fit. Life is back on track now :)

Can you fit l size helmet?

@@MOTOPOVTR it fits my standard shark Spartan or my wife’s shoe nxr. Most full face helmets should be fine but to be safe I’d advise testing it t a dealer.

Is the build quality good? I'm choosing between these and SW-Motech.

I like them. Plus they are nicely integrated to the bike. Depends on your year of bike to be fair but mine was s a2018 and is fully integrated. No bulky frames on the side.
