When I salvage a wreck, I leave nothing inside it. I carry or pick up 4 iron, 1 silicon. (optional 1 silicon, 1 aluminum, 1 titanium for a beacon) Then I build a square foundation on the ground near my salvage area. Then I build a gray storage locker on the foundation to start. (Optionally use it to store extra water, food, 02 while salvaging ) I haul out a backpack of stuff and store it in the cabinet I deconstruct all of the crates in the wreck. I use the iron from the blue crates to build another gray cabinet as necessary. Prioritize your loot in the crates and take the most valuable stuff back with you. When you come back for the rest, it is right there. I treat the blueprint chips the same as the terra tokens, build a decode screen on the foundation platform (iron, silicon) and decode them on sight. No need to carry them back. Once clear, deconstruct everything and move on

Before you start placing T2 or T3 ore extractors you should send up a GPS satellite; the map will show you exactly where to place them to get the resources you want. For example, to get obsidian you need to place the extractor near the ship you explored in this episode, NOT in the lava caves.

appears that he's completely missed the usefulness of the rover he complains is too slow or didnt' provide oxygen... pick it up, deploy it at destination, LOAD all the loot into it, then jet pack back to base, and summon rover complete with all that loot... seems pretty basic ... kinda like a "bag of holding"

as far as the rover, use it as storage transporter, there is a button on the back that if you push it (inventory must be empty) it fits nicely into your backpack. take it to an area that you want to clear and set it down, fill it up, and jetpack back home (leaving the rover behind). then at the rover station, recall it back ...... then you can empty it out into your base!! (no need to drive it anywhere unless you enjoy that kind of torture)

I personally don't bother attaching butterfly domes to base. Beyond putting the larvae in there's no real need to have regular access. I set them up individually with just a door, detached from the base

Did my base near the first wreck he visited. Wanted all the water to automate fert, nuggets, bacteria etc. Lots of larvae spawn on the shelf above your base Z1

I assume that's still a T1 machine optimiser as that sixth T4 drill only increased your pressure by about 4% from 846216 to 878346; upgrading to T2 would unlock five times that and let you place two more T4 drills as well.

Please please please give the rover another try. It is so helpful for carrying to your desination, filling up with goodies and then jetpacking back to your base and summoning it back to base. It is a godsend for wrecks.

Hey Z! Did you know, that when you are looking at the "general" blueprint screen and want to see the biolab blueprints, you don't need to run over to the biolab? There are two symbols on the left hand side of the blueprint screens, where you can switch between "general" and "biolob" blueprints. Works on both screens (in the biolab and the general one).

That area across from the landed ship and water, is rich with Obsidian. I used to have a base there, but left 3 T3 ore extractors for Obsidian. Also, I find your vids to be quite helpful. Especially when it comes to the locations of the green crates. It helps me and other fellow planet crafters remember and find said locations of the crates, ( if that makes sense ) Also, do you know if u may bring back the waving thing at the end of each planet crafting video, like u did with Astroneer ?
