You can wire all the Gem Compressors to 1 switch and leave it turned on and they auto compress every time a gem drops so they don't pile up. Then when you want to collect the compressed gems, just turn it off and all the doors will open, then turn it back on to rinse and repeat.

You can leave on the compresore, they automaticly open when there is gems to collect

The gem compressors are turned on when the hatch is closed, if you leave the compressor on then as a gem comes it will open and close quickly to allow the gem in and compress it. Logic is only required to turn the compressor on and off which is not needed because when you turn the water off the compressor will stay open to let you get the gem out.

If you use a logic switch to switch the gem compressor on, you can then remove the switch and they will continue to compress until they are switched off again with a logic switch.

Gem compressor is OFF when its opened :D You need logic to open it and take gem out. You want it to be closed all the time.

Nope, you can take gems out all the time. Open/close doesn’t matter for that.Attaching any logic part causes trouble. It works perfect automatically out of the box as long as you don’t attach anything.

Several comments, some of which have already been posted... You could just like all your Gem Compressors to a single Switch and leave it turned on. That way, as each Gem arrives at the Compressor, it'll automatically activate and compress it to a single Gem. That'll reduce potential lag from having all those Polished Gems sitting around and avoid a Gemsplosion when you end up using a Magnet on a Stick... As to the Corestone stuff, for now, ignore the Prospector and Mole Vehicles. Until you're going to build a surface Mine, you don't need them and I'm pretty sure you can't get them into Icehelm. What I WOULD recommend would be the T3 Pickaxe, the T3 Rake, the Logic Saw Hook (it'll allow you to cut Ore Bars to SPECIFIC Sizes), and a Logic Keypad (for the Logic Saw). That last item can be found at Hobson's, just up the hill from the Corestone equipment. You'll need a small space with at least 2 Conveyors for the Logic Saw Hook. One Conveyor would be where you drop the Ore Bar, and the Logic Saw Hook would be placed on the other, with the Keypad connected to it. Remember, with the Keypad, after you type in the number to press the Green key to send that number to the Saw Hook, and then the Red key when you're done to clear it. For Gems, there is a Gem Chisel in Bridgepour which will cut a Gem in half, similar to the Saw that you use on Ore Bars. This process will allow you to reduce wastage, especially with that orders similar to that Emerald Order where there is a specific request for a x.5 weight Gem. The Keypad can only do whole numbers, but you can double the requested weight, Ore Bar or Gem, and then use the Saw or the Chisel to cut the Bar or Gem in half. Toss the unused half back onto the Conveyor to be sent to the appropriate Gem Compressor. One more thing that I noticed towards the end of the vid - Your Truck is running out of Water (Gas). You can tell from the low level in the Tank on top of the Cab, but, more specifically, from the Yellow-ish light blinking on the right side of the Cab. Take an EMPTY Pan with you, the next time you go out, go to a river, toss the Pan into the river, and then pour it into the Tank on top of the Cab (watch the pouring location to get it correct). You'll probably need 2 - 4 Pans worth of water to fill it...

The issue with your gem compressors is you keep turning them off with those levers. If youd just turn them on by pulling down the lever and pulling it off, you can clump the things together and save yourself much room in your base. That is ALL you have to do for those. Just hook them to the pipes and let gems drop in directly. It auto crushes them together and you can just pluck one out whenever you are ready or need it. As for the castle, there are only 2 more quests above you. One more soldier that wants a lobster, and then the child king. Whom gives you a special prize.

Here's a tip for new people leave the switches powered on with the gem compressor and it will auto compress the gems for you no need for fancy set ups

The gem compactors will work by themselves. But they have to be CLOSED before you remove the logic. Otherwise, you basically just, turned it off so it won't do anything.

There is a glitch with the sorters, if you move them with the item to be sorted on the sort tray it ignores it. to fix it, just pick up the item and place them back down to register them to sorters again. you dont need logic to run the compressors but you do need it to turn them on then they run automatically without.

Try using the Unstuck feature to skip some of those longer journeys. Watch a speed runner and you'll see some of the jump off spots - can't think of any reason to drive ALL the way to Bridgepour

:) Kings Quests for Farming... yeah its a nice task but I just got enough farming tokens to by those more expensive seeds.. planted broccoli and got a 1.19 pound broccoli head, since it makes 1 seed packet per pound... Then it took forever for it to grow. I went to buy another see packet and waiting for it to grow so I can at least combine chopped broccoli and get 2+ pounds so I can chop it into either 1 or 2 pounds with the power saw to get 1 or 2 seed packets...

Hello Z1 I have a small tip for you I don't know if anyone else has told you but to put coins and tokens together easy you can put them in the shop buckets and just press the Buy button and they will go together😊

Your first buy should be the saw and a numbers pad. with that you can then cut bars and gems to the exact value^^ and for the compressors just activate them and leave them working = no stacking up^^ Else it was another great video 👍🏻

You have to make it to where the water is connected to the gem compresser and take the switch off the reset the machine there can't be any gems blocked up on the belt or it won't go

Some things broke since the update. Some people had problems with old T pipes being "clogged". My advise is to just replace the things that dont work properly with new things from stores. For me the gem compressors worked right out of the box w/o logic, but i think once you used logic on them, they dont work w/o it? xD or maybe you just need to remove the logic and restart the savegame to "reset" them?
