@@Cineo55 Yes, because the ECU relies on MAF data. When you dump into the atmosphere, there already measured air is gone and the AFR is messed up. You're running too rich for a small set of time (till the turbo pumps up air again), usually it's a second or a couple and you're good again. Eventually after some time, unless you remap your engine to a MAF-less operation or fit a proper recirc valve, it will give up.

I thought that blanking the turbo is completely bad for the engine and the turbo, thus the air escapes through the blades, Can I do this on stock engine map? some say it will throw check engine light but I used to drive with stuck closed valve and nothing happened, The turkey sound was a blast to hear with cone filter and short intake.
