This is because lots of their algorithms are made and optimized with a lot of R moves, which are more awkward with your right hand as it’s on the same side as the layer that needs to be turned a lot. It’s easier with your left hand. Give it a try for yourself!

If you did that side as the second side you could preserve either one of those corner skips and use it
