Z6 vs D500 for Wildlife Photography

Join me on a wildlife walk and talk. I cover mindfulness, nature and wildlife photography at a new 'mystery' location. Having had the FTZ ii adapter for Nikon F to Z mount lenses has given me the chance to use my Z6 with my 200-500mm f5.6 Nikkor lens. I share my thoughts on this set-up as I search for wildlife in the countryside.

Interesting comparison. I'll have to ask my neighbours, who are from Yorkshire, if they know this area. Nice, quiet spot, at lest compared to my latest location.

Thanks for the video! have you tried to shoot in silent mode? i have my z6 with tamron 150-600mm lens and when i tried it on continious H+ mode it caused to some really heavy image distortion. when i slowed it down to regular H it became better. I'll be glad if you'll share your experience with Nikkor 200-500 lens. Cheers

Mati, no I have not used silent mode. I will have to give it a try. At the moment I am shooting on normal high. I have heard good things about the Tamron 150-600mm, how do you find it?

@@Walkinginthewoods not sure if you recieved my answer about tamron, because i don't see it now. So, just to be sure, Tamron is a pretty good lens but you have to check the auto focus before you buy it. I got my lens new, but there was malfunction with AF, so i repaired it by guarantee. After that everything worked fine. I shoot at F8-9 for the best sharpness and i the bokeh is really good.

@@loihpatli glad you were able to fix the autofocus. I am wondering what the aperture will be on the Z200-600mm when it comes out. Am hoping it will be an affordable f5.6
