15:54 i think its cuz he full tapped. he did the full tap combo string where u do a total of 3 taps. usually when people overtap they stop at the 2nd but this guy just fully went for the 3. I never seen people miss snd go for 3 so thats a possible theory

I think they want yel zenkai bardock to make ohsb yel goku use the "Death allie buff" Just to make it more useful. So they make bardock objective is to one shot the enemy and then you can sacrifice him to a rush or something. Just to make yel ohsb goku more usefull.
