Part 3: • Zab Judah on Becoming ...
Part 1: • Zab Judah on Being Und...
----------
In this clip, Zab Judah opened up about losing his Undisputed Light Welterweight Championship title to Kostya Tszyu in 2001. Zab explained that he took the loss badly and tried to throw a punch at the referee because he couldn't accept that he lost the fight. He went on to speak about gambling a lot after being fined $100,000 and suspended for a year following the incident at the Tsyzu fight, and Zab addressed the video of him fighting after a dice game in Miami. Zab explained that he found out a guy was cheating during a dice game that he was losing, and a confrontation led to a fight with the guy that was cheating. To hear more, including betting $100,000 in street dice games and winning a Lexus one night, hit the above clip.

I remember meeting Zab like 10 years ago. I was at Sin City strip club in the Bronx. Me and my boy got a few bottles and were in VIP. Shit was empty too. All I see is Zab coming in with like 20 dudes and headed straight to the VIP. I told my waitress to move our table because I thought Zab was going to take over the VIP and act like a dick. Zab saw me grabbing the bottles to move and he stops me and says "stay right there homie, you good. You partying with us". He took pictures(that's currently in my office), signed some stuff, gave me and by boy more moet bottles and handed out money for us to throw at the strippers. Very humble and chill dude. He gained a lot of respect that day. Salute to you, Zab.

Yes he's done well, but you still hear slight slurs which Comes with the game but definitely could've been way worse for 150+ total nights under the lights and countless gym WARS on days when sparring was tough and not a lot of easy sparring days. Mr Zab has done well.

Zab was a great fighter. Casuals overrate him because offense is the easiest aspect of boxing to relate to. What separated him from clear-cut greatness was fighting in a really tough era, a less-than-great chin, and his willingness to brawl and relinquish his greatest gifts, which were speed and movement. He had a lot of power, but fell in love with it at times. All in all, a supreme talent who had a really really good career. He was a joy to watch.

To put things in perspective, Judah vs Tszyu was for the WBC/WBA titles held by Tszyu and IBF title held by Judah. He didn’t lose to some bum, the guy who beat him was the last undisputed champ at 140 until Bud Crawford became undisputed recently. Judah still went on to become the undisputed champ at 147, to this day there hasn’t been an undisputed champ at 147 since.

It's a catch 22 with VLAD. On one accord, he gives us great content on black legends and future legends. On the 2nd accord he's totally disconnected from our culture (in which he profits from). Can't even blame him tho. They all gladly give him their life stories. I totally cringe at his unwarranted laughter tho.

I had the pleasure of meeting him in Atlantic City and I’ll never forget he had just finished weighing in as he in his crew were walking out the room one of his boys yelled that Zab will not be signing any autographs, a little kid had just asked for an autograph but his crew had rushed him out of the room but there was lady who was with Zab I want to say she was his sister she heard the little boy, went to Zab, he had come back, signed an autograph and took pictures with the little boy and the guy who said that he wasn’t signing and autographs, apologized. Zab and his entourage were a class act and I got my gloves autographed...

True. Knowing how dice rollers are often robbed and killed and Zab Judah being a STAR ATHLETE they would have planned to rob him. Miami is VERY dangerous, especially for Northerners so you got to either disregard it or take his story with a grain of salt. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5O2q3aNi9CjqKc

@@borzoicoursing2230 Maybe so, these were different times where if you knew the right dudes who were connected, you should of been straight. There were rules to certain things back then and the early 2000s was the last to show that respect. Also, it wasn't like he was from a small city from up north with minimal big city connections, he's from NYC which is/was heavily connected to the streets of Miami. Nowadays you have pop smokes and XXXtentacion getting killed with no regards because there's no big OGS to protect them anymore in order to be amongst the hood general population.

@@draines9237 If you from outside of the city or from a place like NYC then you are already vulnerable. Especially, someone from NYC. Big or small city makes no difference because it's a matter of street smarts. NYC doesn't have connections with Miami on that level plus such connections don't save you from dangerous street matters like this. Being from NYC people know he's an easy target so why rake the chance?
