Thought I would let you all know that I caught the Buffalo with a grasshopper in the deepest part of the lake off the walkway from behind the fence @225cm. I was having difficulty in the spot Zabby found his so I was reading the comments and to use a grasshopper as bait the I thought that the deepest part of the lake for bigger fish also it is near the bank with silt bottom as in the description on how to catch this fish. For anyone having difficulty try this and you will catch the little bas$t$@rd. Hope it helps 🤓👍

@@Thecaster4545 it's a sea fish, a shad is the closest thing I can think of, they don't migrate and grow bigger, when young (1-2lbs) they look silvery but when the get older (5lb+) they get a very dark, shiny black hue

Another thing to help other: Go to settings and change your unit of measurement from imperial to metric. That helped me with a lot of confusion with finding things that he mentioned in the video.

Well, that didn't happen, I caught a Buffalo on my next cast, right into the catfish hole you were at, same depth, petfood equipped. I'm gonna consider myself very lucky on that one.

@@Zabby thanks dude I'm loving this game now that you have taught me the basics. But I'm having diff results at emerald lake than what you have. I'm assuming it's because I don't have a premium account. I am currently rank 16. I have a 44lb stringer. It doesn't take long to fill the stringer up when I'm lure fishing walleye. I usually bank around 4k per day. However It costs 3k to travel there. I'm only making 1g per trip. And that's not including the daily license. Yeah the XP is incr! I was a rank 11 when I came to emarld and I ranked up to 16 in just a few hours IRL. But I find it much more profitable to just farm bass at Lonestar, considering we fish for free there. That is very boring tho. IDK if I should check out other lakes or if I should invest in the 66lb stringer that is available to me. It costs $7680 so I can either do that and continue to fish at emerald or u can use my 11k I currently have to invest in a different set up for another lake. Of course I could continue to bass farm at Lonestar but I think I'd rather go noodling than do that lol. Any tips would be appreciated. Thx

I just spent three minutes fighting a smallmouth buffalo at one of the catfish spots you recommended. I for sure thought it was going to be a monster catfish, but no it was something even better! For reference, I was fishing at the deepest most northern part of the lake with your same setup and a 70in leader. Turns out some smallmouth buffalo like pet food as well.

You can catch the catfish and small mouth buffalo with the starting rod by fishing of the dam path. You have to cast over the fence but it will work

There is a new way of getting bass 100% use the bass jig with value spin rod spin reel and 6 pound test line use straight slow method I kelp getting bass and easy level up

So I know this game is free on the PlayStation 4 but before I considered downloading it I have one important question You see I recently tried Call of the Wild angler because I like the hunter Call of the Wild and it's made by the same company. But I got bored very quickly when I learned all it is is casting the line out and then reeling it back without the fish fighting back at all What I want to know is do the fish actually fight back requiring you to move your Rod left and right or up and down are you reel them in?

I definitely think so, on the spoons I found if you pull left or right and then when tight aim directly at the fish, you seem to be able to gain more & wear the fish down quicker.

For anyone trying to catch the smallmouth buffalo I used this: Omnifloat 350 Wincast 2500 Braid 0.12mm line Glowing pear shaped float Hook 2 Semolina balls 130cm line length (close to the bottom) and set the tension to 2 just incase it went nuts when I strike. It tried but with this set up it was super super easy. I've found it doesn't really work anymore with the doughballs. I grinded the spotted bass (I used the 9g #1 casting spoon in gold, get about $100-150 per fish) for good cash and good exp til I got to lvl 11 for the semolina balls.

U can catch the Buffalo at the Catfish spot where he fished. Just use Dough or May Flies. Fished for 2 rl hours back where he said, between the Lilly pads and had nothing. Went over there, 2. Cast and it was on.

See if you have enough to buy the cheapest Telescopic rod and reel you can buy then start farming until you build up enough to buy a proper setup. Try selling things you don't need if you are just a bit short.

Zabby I'm curious to why you keep your settings set on metric instead of in ft/in if your in U.S ? not sure where your at or if you just find the metric easier to use or just like it better or just always used the metric system ? not a problem i'm just curious that's all. I know the metric system it not a bad thing to know in today's times and wish they had taught it in school back in the 70's when I was still in school. Never can hurt learning & knowing something you don't know, and like they always say knowledge is power.
