@@chenson9587 Wrong place and/or wrong tackle. If I don’t catch a fish in 5 casts, I change something. Change up my lure, or move to a different spot. Creek fishing trout with 6’ poles and rooster tails is usually pretty exciting, and you don’t need a boat or anything special. Just walk the creek and fish all the good looking holes as you make your way upstream. Lots of action. 👍

Im excited for this game. Im recovering from a stroke so have to change my gaming experiences. This will be ideal for my rehabilitation as its not too fast gameplay. Currently playing COTW so this will be an excellent extra for me. Cheers Trev for this.

Fishing Planet seems to have much better fishing mechanics, but I haven't touched that game for quite awhile after they went overboard with the microtransactions. Be cool if the CotW folks would keep developing fishing and maybe combine fishing and hunting into the same sandbox some day.

I have fished a few times. The most I got in one sitting was 3 fish a few times. One time was 3 catfish and another time was 2 sun perch and a bass. Of course since the fish was from my Papa’s pond what’re we caught was dinner that night.

You're dropping the pole down and THEN reelings. You want to real quickly AS you lower the pole. The idea is to take up the slack in the line caused when you lower the pole. At least, that's how you do it in real life.
