Zac Taylor Gives Perspective After Damar Hamlin’s Injury During Bengals vs Bill

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor gives an update for the first time since Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during Monday’s primetime game.
Taylor gives his thoughts on the outpouring of support from fans and players. He recounts Bills coach Sean McDermott's leadership during the incident along with the team captains. He also comments on looking ahead to playing the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

As a huge Bills fan, I have to say, I was taken by Coach Taylor’s undeniable class, love, sportsmanship etc, whatever you what to call it. As spectators watching a broadcast we don’t know exactly what happened and what was said on the field but we know the Bengal Nation and Who Dey fan base has a rock solid leader. One last thing that no one has really touched on, my thoughts also go out to Tee Higgins. No one has really talked about what he’s going through or how he is. Tee. You’re ok , man. If the game went as a no contest and seeding was based off winning percentage, we would win the division regardless of the outcome versus the ravens. Very interesting to see what they do, but at the end of the day it’s football, and entertainment and nothing is more important than all of our prayers being answered to bring Damar to good health again ❤️

can’t forfeit because of the standings with the rest of the teams as classy as that is . Our city would really like to go to the Super Bowl and win .. not sure how fair it would be if the bengals didn’t play the bills in general this season . Can’t expect a team to completely forfeit in general . A lot goes into a football season and yes it’s just a game but it’s a game that cost billions. He has an extremely long road and hopefully he will come off the vent but I can’t imagine the entire season being forfeited regardless .. honestly would damar want it to be .. no he would want his team to go and win the Super Bowl no doubt about it ..

contrast the words spoken by Coach Taylor and the words spoken by Coach Reid - what a world of difference. Certainly Coach Reid made reference to Darmwn Hamlin but almost immediately went to talking about planning their next football game and the same can be said about McHomes. Where was the heart where was the empathy? Coach Taylor was there and his heart was with Daman and the Bills while Coach Reid was focused on his team and their up coming game - one man has heart the other has hands in his pockets.

Coach Taylor gets alot of props for his part in handling this injury. Yet he had a defensive player of his straight up FAKE AN INJURY in the red zone so as to not get charged a time out and to slow down the opponent that was a short distance from scoring. I guess, he isn't really as serious or compassionate about injuries as he would like us all to believe. What a wonderful human being!

Bills need to concede this game. Take the loss. And move on. They can't return to Cincy to replay this game. Emotionally it would be too much of struggle. And with KC playing the Raiders, and Bengals will win over Ravens, it's almost a lock that KC will be the number one seed. Let these teams stop worrying and stressing over it. 7-3 game over. God bless Damar and watch over him. God bless both teams and help heal them too. God kick the NFL in the butt and get them to call this damn game over. Had Bills been up 7-3, then Bengals should have to concede. But scoreboard matters. In Baseball game can be called after 5 innings if the game can't continue. Same idea here. Game couldn't continue.
