My dad sent me this song an hour before he died. It makes me feel like this is his song that represents him in heaven. He never got a vacation in 5 years and I believe this song would describe how he would love his slice of paradise.

Fair winds and following seas, may forever you feel, upon your cheek, the salty breeze. Your spirit lives on in many a heart, your words captured, and never to depart. May your loved ones have the comfort in knowing, to heaven is where you are going. For all that they have to do is look above, and they will be reminded of your love. That genuine smile that Jimmy always had on his face was so infectious. No one could be n his presence for more than 5 seconds and they would be smilin just like him.

R.I.P. Jimmy. This song was a huge hit, when we went to Cuba. It played all day long for that week. It was the first time my Love had seen a palm tree and she grew up by the ocean in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. I sat in a sailing club in Baddeck, Cape Breton and they told me of a story that you had sailed in, in your sailboat. I have dreamed of that lifestyle ever since, but somehow got landlocked and asset rich and cash poor in Alberta,Canada. I have to change that as the Ocean is my Sanctuary and 😢 now gonna listen to my heart and your songs more, to inspire us to accomplish our Dreams🎉❤❤❤

Gonna put the world away for a minute Pretend I don't live in it Sunshine gonna wash my blues away Had sweet love but I lost it She got too close so I fought it Now I'm lost in the world tryin' to find me a better way Wishin' I was Knee deep in the water somewhere Got the blue sky, breeze and it don't seem fair The only worry in the world Is the tide gonna reach my chair Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky Never been so happy Never felt so high And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise Wrote a note, said "Be back in a minute" Bought a boat and I sailed off in it Don't think anybody's gonna miss me anyway Mind on a permanent vacation The ocean is my only medication Wishin' my condition ain't ever gonna go away 'Cause now I'm knee deep in the water somewhere Got the blue sky breeze blowin' wind through my hair Only worry in the world Is the tide gonna reach my chair Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky Never been so happy Never felt so high And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise This champagne shore watchin' over me It's a sweet sweet life livin' by the salty sea One day you can be as lost as me Change your geography and maybe you might be Knee deep in the water somewhere Got the blue sky breeze blowin' wind through my hair Only worry in the world Is the tide gonna reach my chair Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky Never been so happy Never felt so high And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise Come on in The waters nice Find yourself a little slice Grab a backpack Otherwise you'll never know until you try When you lose yourself You find a key to paradise

Raised on the island of key west in the 60s 70s into the early 80s when I left for the Navy. I am fully qualified to know what a life in paradise is. Can't say that about KW now, but I'll always have the precious thing from my childhood. Those memories of paradise.

I’m 17 now but I used to listen to all the good country songs when I was really little. Post people don’t understand what a childhood is. This is real country music with a beautiful meaning. Life is beautiful and don’t let anyone bring you down.
