About 6 or 7 years ago, a local solider from here, in North East Ohio, was killed in action over in Iraq. This was his favorite song, so his brother called into the morning show (Rover's Morning Glory) 100.7 WMMS, a rock station, and asked if they would play this song to honor him. The next morning they played the song over and over for the entire duration of show, (over 4 hours) only stopping to take calls from people sharing stories of loved ones fighting in the military, and honoring this young solider who lost his life. It was very moving.

I'll be completely honest, I used to not be a big fan of this song. But recently my life has taken a huge change in course. I enlisted in the military, and three months ago I was living with my family and the love of my life, but today here I am with sand under my boots and haven't felt the warmth of my woman's hugs since the day I stepped into the bus. this lifestyle makes you see things much differently, and you begin to see the significance of the little things you used to have. the message in this song stands out to me and brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face every time I hear it now, because everything in it is something I miss greatly. being there for my mama my woman and my little brother every day was taken for granted, but I know this is best. God bless you all, and I hope you have a great day. Make the most out of everything, no matter how small it may seem.

The little things around you and the people around you and even what you put into this world and into other peoples lives is what builds you and breaks you. If all this stuff and the people around us where totally different, we would be complete strangers to who we are now. You are never defined as one single person in life. To an extent you really make yourself and the things around you do in every stage of life, even just everyday. Hi there, I am a proud French citizen and an inspector of French Customs ; serving the interests of my country is the pride of my life. But deep within me, there’s a special place reserved for the United States of America, a place that I believe is the greatest on Earth. The music that fills your soul, the warmth of your people, the endless beauty of your landscapes, it's amazing. To the people of America, never forget to be proud of your country, no matter the struggles it faces. I love you, truly, with all my heart. I admire your resilience, your strength, and the way your culture shines so brightly across the world. You are a beacon of hope, a symbol of freedom and courage. The United States is the father of liberty, and I can never thank enough all the American soldiers who have fought and sacrificed for that freedom.
