I mean, real in a sense that, when you look into Niko's background and what he's been through in his past, you feel like you're engaged in a live conversation with Niko, as player with protagonist, where Niko's telling the story and capturing players with details and vivid imagery. All of it being so real, it's what makes him a man of character.

Niko Cj Michael Nikos story in IV was perfectly written in every sense of the word, he’s a legend in my eyes. Once you become emotionally attached to a video game character they’re seen differently from that point on through your eyes and that’s exactly how I see niko, he’s the perfect gta character. Cj is amazing too but his story has a lot more action packed shootouts and death and destruction while nikos kills were personal and you felt the same way niko did during most of the scenes👌🏻

Niko was the most realistic character, in the most realistic story. Tommy is the coolest one, and the one who took matters into his own hands from the very beginning. But my favorite will always be CJ, because he can do everything, he's cool, funny, and lives in the best virtual reality. He managed to live a lot of different lives during the gametime and make some amazing decisions for a gangster.

It's obvious Tommy don't have many abilities but he is best at what he does. Also he is 💯% badass character as he cares for no one and can kill someone brutally if required. He had a mission to be at the top of the Vice city and to punish those guys who betrayed him back in past. He did it step by step and finally conquered everything he wanted. No doubt, GTA Vice city is easily one of the greats of all time but without "Tommy Vercetti" it was not possible. By the way, Tommy's shirt is cool.

Ever. #2 Tommy Vercetti: Epitome of GTA badassery without being totally psychotic like Trevor. #3 Michael De Santa: Greatly written with many flaws like any real criminal would have. #4 Carl Johnson: Relatable, good developmente through the game from hood mentality to wanting to leave the hood behind. #5 Johnny Klebitz: Another flawed character, good story, loyal to the brotherhood and with a sad ending for a change. #6 Trevor: Really interesting at the beginning but gets boring and annoying as the game progresses. #7 Tony Cipriani: Kind of boring but at least he makes sense as through the whole game. #8 Franklin: Cool but after the first heist becomes totally forgotten in the story, just busts some cars and chooses the ending. #9 Victor Vance: I like the guy but his attitude makes no sense. Says "I don't wanna sell drugs" while bulding a drug empire. #10 Luis López: Just bitches about everything through the whole game. People like him because he gets pussy and he's "cool". #11 Claude Speed: I know he's from a 2001 game but... he is no character at all.

Yeah, everytime I go back to LC I'm like "I'm back home!" You know that meme where they show the San Andreas map and it says that people know that map better than their city's? In my case that happens with GTA IV map, I don't know why but LC feels way mor alive and believable than LS. Yep, apart from Michael, Franklin and Dave Norton, characters in GTA V are sooo overly stereotyped that feel like cartoon characters. Even Lester which is nice in GTA V gets his personality exagerated in GTA Online. Sadly, this is what kids like, they like parachutes, fiighter jets, APC's, explosions and Trevors and GTA V sold so well that I doubt we see a change in GTA VI more so after seeing how greedy Rockstar has been with GTA Online.

I remember Victor Vance being one of the first protagonists that I really took a liking to in GTA VCS. Just a really down to earth and rather relatable character in the way the he acts and responds to the situations and consequences that are given to him throughout the story. Has great character background as well. Just an all round great GTA protagonist.

My favorite is Toni Cipriani reasons why 1.He is someone you can trust because salvatore paid him 500k instead of a million at the end of lcs but he doesn't hold a grudge against him 2.He did the most brutal kill by dismbering casa and selling the meat to his deli 3.Unlike the other protagonist he blew up a part of Staunton island which means he possibly killed many civilians.

Hey i actually like Toni Cipriani. I think he meshes well with the theme of the game. Isnt every gta character basically a yes-man? Toni makes that inescapable lapdog thug structure of GTA somewhat grounded (I think toni does a better job at this than trevor, who just feels too cartoony and obnoxious for me). Hes a loyal psychopath with repressed emotional issues. I like to think his rampages are his frustrations with his mom bursting from the seams, taking his anger out on enemies and innocent bystanders alike... I want to see Toni as Leone don, set after gta3, trying to balance the job of resurrecting the Leone family and dealing with his own mother's death. Turn the character around to be the leader for once, see how he deals with not having somebody to follow obediently like his mom or boss... the character is great, i just think Rockstar royally under- utilized his potential.

The thing I disagree with Franklin, is that you see a lot of his character when Mike tells him to leave the city. He tells Michael that he has his back. So he knows there is a fight coming and shows his loyalty. As much as he catches some breaks, I feel like everything after that he earns. It's not just that he wants to get out of the ghetto, he recognises that those opportunities aren't real. But if there is one thing we learn about him, it's that he is loyal. Which is why he keeps hanging with Lamar so long. It's that commitment that ultimately does earn him the breaks he gets.
