So very informative! I had to laugh when Zach said that we would benefit the most from eating directly from the vine. I was in my garden congratulating myself on the freshness and nutrient density of my just picked raspberries, telling my friend that you can’t get any fresher than this, when I turned to see my dog eating directly from the raspberry bush. Now I know that I will benefit the most if I join him.

We need to support biodynamic, organic local farms who can grow enough produce to provide a variety of fresh produce in season AND local flash frozen for colder months in zones with shorter growing seasons. Also to support clean, green technologies that allow production of high quality produce in these colder times especially if we are heading toward a period of global cooling as some predictions suggest. This on top of growing what nutrient dense produce, sprouts, humanely grown meat you can yourself or in a community endeavor. Love the cities, hospitals, food banks, etc., that are adopting these practices as they are able to.

I have to disagree. In winter I go out into my greenhouse without heat and get my fresh winter vegetables. I live in New Brunswick Canada zone 5. So if I can do that most people can do that. my food is grown no dig for a healthy microbiome in the soil. my greenhouse is DIY and very economical so it makes sense to do it.

Dr. Zach Bush, I love you. Thank you for being what a true doctor is. You're helping heal our world, and give me even more hope and passion to contribute as well. I haven't been to a doctor in years, but am healthy and have almost entirely cured myself of allergies (apart from cats now) and other past ailments. Like most holistic people I know, I steer clear of going to a doctor bc of how little most doctors know about things such as nutrition and holistic care, and how little care they give. It's become an "and what am I paying for?" The world needs more doctors like you, and you are leading the movement in this current renaissance we are lucky to be living in!

I’m so glad my mind f de pés all that with me having to be aware of it. I take pleasure in knowing something is good for my body will protect my health and spare me of unwanted diseases. I developed a really perverted appetite It took me years to get used to a less stimulating diet. My health was severely compromised. I glad to take pleasure. But it’s not the height of my experience. It’s also being responsible and changing you tongue receptor pellet to serve a higher aim , my well-being and health. It’s the least I can do to help nature. Fortunately this inner subjective experience is available even to a poor family in a big city that is learning to make better choices at supermarket But doesn’t have access or money to buy fresh tomatoes fresh this or fresh that or access to a Garden

Yes, the eyes eat first, but I have to disagree with his nutritional advice. Fruits and vegetables are gorgeous in their variety, but they aren't nutrient dense and even contain harmful substances (fructose, oxalates, etc.). It does indeed matter what we eat. One thing that greatly enhanced my eating pleasure is intermittent fasting. When you wait 17 or more hours to eat each day, the meal you then consume is indescribably delicious. 🥩🥚🧀

This all sounds wonderful, but none of these foods are nourishment. That’s why we can’t live on vegetables. Animal protein is king
