As a 62 year old grandfather, I find this story awesome and inspiring for all those who are underdog . I wish him the very best in the NBA with Memphis Grizzlies. Zach will be missed on the Canadian National team in 2024 Paris Olympic. Watching from Toronto Canada.

What a wonderful story of a young man finding out more and more about himself and his journey to become an even better human being! Good luck on your journey Zach!!

Zach’s mom was actually a really good basketball player, just never really got a chance to showcase her talent. Her parents owned a Chinese takeout (no wonder she’s such a good cook), didn’t have a lot of money, knew nothing about sports and never came to her games, and expected her to study first (she’s an engineer) and work in the restaurant second. Despite that, she still got scouted for the Canadian National team

Kansas fan here and I watched my first Purdue highlights...this guy scares me. He's absolutely dominant. Hopefully someone knocks them off (miracle I know) before KU has to face them.

I hope Zach's dreams come true this year. NPOY and National Champion. If not "The Journey" has been great. He and is mom are fantastic people and he's on a team of great guys. Purdue does it right. Boiler up! Beat IU, Win the Big Ten, and take the NCAA Tournament by storm.

So glad he chose Purdue. I am also a Huge fan off the Drew coaching family but I think Matt Painter was the perfect development coach for Zach & no better environment than Purdue University. Perfect fit. Hope Purdue goes far this yr--maybe wins it all...and Zach has a great pro career !! And what a total class act his mom is !

I pray for the team. Yes, Edey is the Center of the team, but it will take the entire team to continue winning. That is what was missing last year, the team effort! Guard play is so important. Purdue has those elements this year and in fact we have seen those elements shine in the first few games. I hope that shine doesn't fade as the season progresses. Every team they play will be at their best. That's just the way others play. They all play to the challenge. Coach Painter has to play to that same challenge as well, being able to adjust during each game, calling time outs when needed, etc. This can be your year and it will be if you ALL work hard, play hard and have fun together. God Bless you all. Now Boiler Up!

end of summer heard some of the Canada basketball staff and players including the NBA ones saying they thought Edey was going to have a fabulous, dominating college season . They were super impressed with his work ethic, hands and toughness. He` s so good he`s a lock to play in the 2023 World Cup with all the NBA players. Coach Nurse especially loves him and knows how important he is to the program down the road.
