He says he doesn’t want to talk about process but I think Zach knows how special an artist he is, and I get the feeling he himself is interested in the subject of process. Zach is very self deprecating, which can be its own form of narcism. I think zach is trying to ask us to be kind in our judgement of him while he judges us. There’s a pervading air of fascism in the air and no one can agree on who the real fascists are so naturally everyone feels victimized by every comic. In short these are troubling times.

He makes a good point, this show is totally about pulling back the curtain and showing the people that we think we know but really have no idea because we've only seen a facade. At the same time, I think that's what he finds annoying. It shouldn't be shocking that a person just doing their job has normal human emotions. The stigma that performance art isn't a job and that people who do voice work or perform onstage or on-screen are just having fun, that it's easy, that "anyone can do it", is the underlying issue.

@@cheekydelinqwent9080he touches on something that has bothered me about humans/society for a long time. The high regard given to people of high status. In itself, to make a blanket assumption that an individual of high status is somehow more... (insert whatever) The assumption is rarely questioned. More respect is given to people of a higher social status. Which is ridiculous. I have met more p.o.s. high status people than not. Status itself is not a proper way to measure the charter of an individual. Yet, many people blindly go alone with it. Thus reinforcing the b.s. Influencers are a great example of this. All their status and wealth and millions of people blindly worship/admire them. They are nothing more than pretty, hyper cooperate shills.

The funnier a comedian, the less they talk about "the process". Joe Rogan, great legendary podcaster, shitty comedian, but he constantly talks about "the process". Ever notice whenever he has some of his unfunny comedian friends on his show, they constantly talk about "the process". You rarely ever hear truly funny comedians talk about "the process" or over analyze comedy trying to break it down like some scientific equation.....
@roddydykes70534 жыл бұрын
Telluwide good observation. I agree, when he has one of his regulars on (Joey Diaz aside, he’s naturally funny and Joe is lucky to be close with him) the conversation quickly devolves into unfunny ramblings about the business ends of things, probably because they lack the talent to simply go on and be funny for 2 hours

@Jake Sangria good point, but i didnt mean that, instead what i meant was this: an opinion its not about saying "shitty comedian" like this guy said. if youre of those guys who think that being mean towards another human being is an "opinion" i think you should question yourself a little bit. and nope, im really into accepting people's opinions and i like what this guy said being respectful, BUT to call somebody a "shitty comedian" you should really question yourself. because something it's not your taste it's shit? i don't think so.
@Nachovaibs4 жыл бұрын
@Jake Sangria and when you really do stand up (i have done it) and you experience how hard it is to be up on stage trying to make people laugh is when you really tend to respect others comedians. being just a consumer doesnt make u less or more valuable person, but in comedy matters make u numb and closed minded. few comedians call other comedians "ohhh, look that shitty ass comedian" na man. there's always a time to mature and respect.

@Jake Sangria thats what i mean jake, you just made a good point and you were respectful about Joe rogan. "to me the magic and the mystery of it is if you don't know too much and I think we're losing that more and more...." What a spot on evaluation. Hollywoods movie trailers for the past couple years reveal the entire movie and plot in one trailer. Trailers used to pull me in and make me want to see that movie asap but now I'm like " yeah I can wait for DVD i know where this movie is going". I kinda agree with the whole thing of not doing interviews. Ive never understood what people get out of them. Most of them are short and they are basic questions or ones on how did you do it. Well they did just like everyone else they prepared and nailed it or else you wouldnt be talking to them. I would rather just see and hear their stories about things they have done or liked or w.e. Because that makes you feel more connected in general.

When I watch interviews like this, I'm not watching Zach because he's a celebrity. I haven't even seen hardly any of his work. I watch because he is interesting in some way. That's the same reason I talk to people in my own life. I like to listen to people talk about their passions, their struggles, how they've overcome struggles, dreams that they have, things they've done in life that is great sense of enjoyment for them, etc. I think a lot of viewers are watching for the exact same reason as me, not as some kind of celebrity worship. I think if Zach could see interviews as a chance to connect with people in this way, interviews might actually turn into something he enjoys doing.

As an actor, the work is tremendous when it comes to great work and that's the thing we should be aspired to do with the work/goals we do in our personal lives. So much disrespect from a lot of people towards actors man. Only the people who understand know that the true actors aren't here for credit, they're here to do what they love and do amazing work because that is what truly fulfills them and then that spreads over to us on incredible stories on screen
