I would not guess it was Willis. He was really cool with the multiple Ashton jokes and almost laughed about the Blockbuster Entertainment award. He also showed a lot more enthusiasm than most guests when he did his riff on life in the 80's. For Penn, however, Nick felt the need to adopt the less threatening alter ego of Seth.

I wonder how much he credits his show to the Gordon Keith interview style. Gordon Keith typically has sort of a real interview where he drops in some extremely witty stuff. Most of the BTF shows I have seen the guest "dislikes" the interview and they play up the awkward aspect to about 11...... Gordon Keith keeps that to about a 6 with some awesome humor to round it off.

That would be my top of the head guess as well. The first time I watched it I was convinced he was genuinely irritated throughout the whole thing, but you can see him grin sometimes in it. Maybe he wasn't that pleased with how the 'I'll knock you the fuck out right in your chair' line might come off, idk. Also, and not that you would necessarily know this, but is penn developing Parkinson's lately or something?
