My best friend had a baby and little support from her husband. She called me at 4am sobbing cause she was so tired. I (single mom at the time and my daughter was at her dad’s house) immediately got up and drove an hour to the town she was in and took care of her baby so she could sleep. She didn’t need things, she needed the peace of mind that someone she trusts has her baby so she could rest. Best thing you can do for new parents in my opinion if they are comfortable with that help.

Miles the best thing you can do is understand your kid’s development so that when they’re doing x, y, and x you aren’t beating your head against the wall wondering wtf you did wrong. You just acknowledge that that is where they are developmentally right now, accept it, and support them as best as you can. And that continues into teen years and young adulthood. I try not to research parenting methods and instead I research childhood development so that I can apply my own experience with what I know is going on in my kids’ brains 🖤

I actually asked the jeweler doing my wedding ring if we could do a finger print on it, and he advised against it because there's no enough space, and to do a detailed fingerprint requires soft enough metal that will warp anyway with use. Very thankful to him for helping me adjust the design based on my needs, and ours turned out lovely! Artisan LA Jewelry, highly recommend them if you're in LA.

Can concur - weddings that are concerts are the best. My partner was a touring musician when we got married, so we got married in a music venue & our reception was a show featuring our fav bands that were able to be in town. One of the best nights ever.

I think it might be the fact that it is a straightforward thing instead of a bunch of random thoughts.
