The Try Guys Try: "editing"
@powersquirrel8156
@powersquirrel8156 Жыл бұрын
Editing is like salt. When it's the right amount, it's not noticeable, but too little or too much can completely ruin food. Each of the guys have their own spice profile that adds style though. Keith is more theatrical rollercoaster, Eugene is artistically emotional dry humor, and Zach is a cinematic fever dream.

In any group project, there is always that one person. A lot of us love this channel for the warm, welcoming, and nontoxic personalities/people there are. Like they TRY new stuff and open themselves up to new things. But sometimes videos would take a turn in the vibe and it was because someone had to be too "manly." I always wanted to like them, but never could. I'm here for Zach's goofy, Keith's comedy, Eugene's sass, and the love that they have for creating (also their SOs are freaking amazing and I love their videos too).

YES. i love zach saying that try guys isn't "them", it's their editing! so much of their humor is good timing and trimming the fat. as their stand-up mentor wisely said "just keep your best stuff". i remember years ago, the try guys were rightfully miffed they were never nominated for best editing in the webbys. they've absolutely honed their editing to suit their style of video and it just works so well. though we don't realize it consciously, try guys editing is a major part of why we enjoy their content (especially pre-the incident).

Everyone getting upset at "the shade" forgets how petty they've probably been for Months/Years towards an ex after a breakup. This was a friend and business partner that they had been close to for years, shared life experiences with and trusted. They are allowed to grieve the loss of that relationship. Some people stay in "anger" longer than others. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There truly is something about Raine in a podcast format that WORKS! I’m sure she’d be great in videos too, but her storytelling just lends itself so well to a podcast. I don’t want short 5 minute stories in a podcast. I want to go on a JOURNEY for an hour and come out with knowledge about something absolutely ludicrous.

It's weird to me when people say they are "tired" of the shade. They're normal people, especially in this setting which is extra casual, and they were JUST betrayed by a good friend. Ofc when relevant topics come up they're gonna mention it. Whenever I tell a story where I have to mention a terrible ex-friend from high school, I'll still refer to her as "the worst person I know" even almost 6 years later. And other people do similar thing. You don't just forget that deep pain even if you have moved on. It's not like you should bring it into everything constantly, but ofc you can make a little comment if it already comes up. They're not orchestrating their sentences based off of what strangers on the internet will find annoying or not. They're talking to friends who understand that pain.

There are so many different type of drafting programs and they can cover anything from civil, to electrical, to CNC, to robotics and everything in between. I personally deal with electrical work for commercial/residential aspects. So all the electrical work you see in your office, apartment buildings, etc, I will model that in 2D and 3D and coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts. #AdviceforMiles (and also Zach) Eat food that's a bit more on the bland side or something that you eat often and are used to that isn't overwhelming to eat or digest. No beans, no spicy stuff, no onion (onion personally gives me painful gas, I could be a balloon in the Macy's thanksgiving parade.) Also I highly suggest drinking a ginger ale or ginger "soda" with low sugar in it, ginger helps with stomach problems (anytime I fly somewhere I always always drink ginger ale and it helps me stay calm because for some reason my anxiety is tied to my stomach.) I also recommend eating some healthy snacks if possible like nuts, fruit, veggies, a fruit smoothie etc. If your stomach is still feeling upset days after having food poisoning please see a doctor.

I love that they addressed the existential dread of looking at those stars and stuff. I watch alot of space shows and i find it endlessly fascinating how that happens. It's extremely common whenever space is talked about in length and they talk about billions of light years away and such. I end up having that conversation with my husband often because sometimes I just get so freaked out to think about how little we matter in the grand scheme how small we are, How even the earth and the sun and other plants that are bigger then us, even our galaxy it's self is so SMALL compared to so many others out there. it really puts into perspective how insanely small we ( humans) are. absolutely insane!!!!!! I am glad the guys enjoyed the zachleor party! it was so fun to watch and had me choked up at the end at how sweet his friends were saying nice things to zach. I sincerely wish Zach and Maggie all the love happiness and good fortune in the world. May they have a lifetime of sweetness love and light

Actually yeah! The "inside the actorsstudio vibe" is super interesting and amazing and everytime you go there it's so interesting; the deep discussions about the difference between art and content ( not necessarily the last one but the first one), the deep analysis of the buzzfeed corporate culture with Erik and Shane and Ryan, even the discussion with Yes theory. Those are so intellectually stimulating. Try guys are also that. And the NY Times just didn't get that as you said. I'm thinking of writing them a response article...

14:53 that’s the “know when it’s good enough” mindset and talking about that in an interview once got me a job😆 I even made them a cross-stitch for the office that said that. It’s not a negative, it’s just knowing where to draw the line between good and spending a bunch of unnecessary resources to make it perfect, knowing that that extra effort isn’t worth it to achieve that level.

would love to see a “zach and keith eat the menu” where they go to a restaurant, doesn’t matter if there was already an ETM there, and zach eats whatever he can eat and then keith eats the rest:)

@@Emivibes96 I seriously doubt that after what has happened that she'd want to attend a bachelorette party or wedding! Meanwhile, she's doing what's best for her and her children. If that means staying off social media and not going to parties, so be it!

the problem with really good editing is that no one is going to notice when it's done well- the only time people tend to notice editing (in anything) is when it's bad or really over the top, which is an absolute shame

Pausing the video at 26:25 to say that yes the graphics are pulling the audiences attention to the editing, BUT what I'm noticing more in WAR is the tonality in the edit. It's just so incredibly cheeky and doesn't take itself so seriously. As a communication professional, y'all's navigation through this "scandal" with humor is a masterclass.
