Bro. NB has some pretty good shoes but I don't think they're "killing" Puma. Puma's been on fire lately! The Melos, the Trc Blazecourts, the Stewie's... all amazing! Hmmm, might change my mind tho when I finally try the TW v3s, I've heard crazy things.

Genuine question to all the sneaker heads out there. I have heard Sammy saying 'caged out sole' many times. What does that mean in terms of how that affects the cushioning of the shoe? what is the rationale behind that?

"Caged" means the midsole, which is often the soft material that provides cushioning to the shoe, has different and more rigid materials covering the exterior. This is to give the shoes more support so that the shoes don't feel as mushy.

@@tumbasports254 Basketball shoes generally emphasize on cushioning due to the nature of the sport, hence the commonly discussed bouncy cushioning materials, ie foam and/or any variants of air technology. The downside is the thickness of these materials make the shoes higher off the ground, that's why caging comes in helpful. But there are basketball shoes that aren't as cushioned and lower to the ground. It all depends on personal preferences.

I loove my 1080v12's freshfoam x.. The foam is just sooo good for running and casual use. Oh and insanely comfy upper too.. I hope the freshfoam feels the same in these bb shoes.. i definitely will try them
