Zach Nugent’s tone and style is the closest to Jerry’s by far. His playing is absolutely amazing. Keeps the Dead vibes going. He and other Dead cover bands should do a US tour together and keep the Dead fans together. I’m talking stadium gigs.

I just saw these guys for the 1st time the other night. I am old enough to have seen the Dead and have seen a lot GD cover bands since (DSO, Terrapin, Shakedown, etc.) These guys are unbelievably good. They opened with a ripping Feel like a stranger that went on like a deep 2nd set jam. Zach sounds like Jerry in the most unreal way. I can’t imagine the raw talent and time it took to get to this level. These guys are a MUST see, I’m driving 3 hours to see them again in a few days.

Zach Nugent, as in son of Uncle Ted? As opposed to other offspring forming bands (*cough Allman Betts*) this is the real deal. The band is solid, tight and the guy playing lead is stellar. Nails Jerry but is beyond a clone. 1:00:38 he and the band head into the stratosphere...

( @ their heyday, most Country ppl.. well, all they saw were "Long haired Hippy's" The 60's 70's & first couple years of 80's produced some of the most AMAZING Music of ALL TIME ! (( Gen Z & Mellinials, for the most part Agree )) OK, Really, "The Dead" are for people who can... Barely play any instrument... SERIOUSLY. Melinials & Jen Z, OF COURSE call "The Dead" Overrated. (( They ARE )) PERIOD !! They are a sub par. "Jam Band" @ Best. ! I've been playing ORIGINALS... Recording performing &, Jaming & "Tripping ppl out" for Decades. & it's all documented. What have they done that is (( Unbelievable)) ???? Seriously ???; Kids Overuse the term, OVERRATED. In this case, it's SPOT ON ! I've NEVER Been Blown away, By anything I've heard . Period.

Zach Nugent played with Melvin and JGB for a while pre covid. After the pandemic he decided to go back to Burlington, VT and start this band. We’re just starting to hit the road consistently, keep an eye out! :)

Holy Great Googaly Moogaly. I've been listening to the Grateful Dead nearly every day since 1980. I appreciate DSO and the Phil Lesh Quintet, but haven't heard another band do this right in a long long time. I can't bear Dead and Co due to the sluggish tempo, but I will travel to see this band given half a chance.

Yep... Ppl : That were .. "Tripping Balls" & "Kinda played guitar... ect. Fight nearly to Death.. & Gratefully believe ; The Dead were the Supernatural GREATEST band that ever existed.. Professionally played ORIGINAL & Diverse music for Decades. Only getting off playing the crowd.. To "Trip ppl out &.. GROVE !! " I'VE Watched "Tree- Ping " Balls !! & "Other" &, The countless recordings W/ HARDCORE Deadhead Deciples then some... & my mind & soul OPEN.. Still.. For the most part , a Mostly COUNTRY, "Jam Band " & yeah, I know this is a cover band. @ Least they, ( The Greatful Dead ) We're 100% Original & were true to themselves & Their FANS ! ( RIP Jerry ! ) It's 2023. I WISH I could find & hear Any form of music that was UNREAL now ! ( That would actually inspire me to freak out & HAVE to acquire that music IMMEDIATELY !! Apparently those days are over.. over a long time ago. Strange times indeed ! Oh well.. I still got my guitar...
