@@patrickmanion9646 There needs to be a good movie adaptation of the book. I know one was sort of done with Robert De Niro. But Frankenstein is a timeless classic. There needs to be further extrapolation on the "pick me" girl term. It typically has to do with internalized misogyny, not simply self-conscuously quirky as a means to differentiate themselves from other women. The "I'm not like other girls" is a phrase often associated with "pick me" types, and it has to do with degrading other women. It's suggesting that because "im not like other girls" you should pick me, and typically it's meant as a generalized degradation of the female sex. "I'm not like other girls" is code for "I'm like one of the guys," and being like one of the guys is what makes them "objectively" better than the generalized, more feminine, female masses. Just because it's a comedy podcast, doesn't mean there's no room to learn something!
