This is probably the best video I have ever seen showing the difference in the iron and driver swing.

Super brief lesson describing the difference between hitting a driver versus an iron. You organize and present well. Thanks.

Great visuals Zach! My driver trajectory is too flat so I'll try this out. Thanks!

Good to put something flat on the ground like in the video. Should help with your trajectory.

@@ZachAllenGolf Just tested it on the course today and it worked. What I noticed was staying behind the ball longer and not worrying about hitting the ball so much.

Helpful tips. Did not realize there was such a difference in the release points. Will work on your suggestions . Thanks, Zach. Great instruction.

Thanks Zack great explanation,more of an arm swing than a body turn,is this what Mac taught you in the early days .

Nice, Zach! Using your lessons (and others) and finally after decades feeling like I am starting to figure out the "release" I vaguely was heading down this path. Finally a great explanation to a question I have had for a long time - cant wait to try this on the range.

Thanks Zach. I bought your program and it's changed everything for me. I used to be lost after taking a few weeks away from the game but now, give or take a short or two I can pick up where I left off! It's changed everything for me. These additional videos also help reinforce everything I've learned. Cheers, Mw

I’ve driven down a couple of hours to see Zach. He’s absolutely phenomenal. No BS. Pinpoints very quickly and the results don’t fade. If you keep your mouth shut, you’ll probably finish in 15 minutes. Voila!

Zach, an interesting question I will put to you: From Tony Manzoni's book, bottom of page 6, he states that Ben Hogan said, on the backswing, at the top, he has already shifted his weight to his left side. That is contrary to some theories, maybe the predominant theory, that we shift (for RH golfer) to the right side, then coming down, shift to the left side. Ben Hogan, not in Five Lessons, but in a letter, says shift to the left side first..not to the right. What do you think?

I remember a quote from hogan saying I hit my driver from my right leg, and my irons from my left leg. Probably more of a feel than real.

I've started hitting my irons well with a big emphasis on holding my angles. This unfortunately has transferred and killed my driver game I'll try your tips to get it shallower and releasing earlier. Have you any tips on forward spine tilt with driver v irons? Should I feel slightly taller with a driver?
@Jeremy_Walker26 күн бұрын
How in the proper helio did that iron shot at 8:42 go 155.... That "looked" like a 125 swing. Crazy....
@dfrugt Жыл бұрын
Almost like using a bounce and where you put it level to chest for a sweep, way behind here, or under with a cut-swing in sand or flop, or divot in front with an iron. Secondary face contact on the ball. Hip rotation to target side just leads the gradual connected unhinging...bang!
@ZachAllenGolf Жыл бұрын
Definitely some similarities to short game shots and changing the bottom, or altering trajectories.
@dfrugt Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I don't manage many manipulations of any kind during the process very well, sticking with connected pre-sets, arc bottom, traj., spin, etc., at perpendicular around a stable rotating Spine Angle. The tighter, the better, for me. Where a divot ends seems as important as where it starts...

How do some players like Jack, Tiger, and Rory hit high long irons. Is it strength or technic? Thanks Ray

A late weight transfer is a major power leak for me. There must be a better approach that’s more in line with maximizing ground forces.

Hey Zack, thanks to you when I am at the driving range results are 90 % perfect , on the real playing field it as if I never played before, ?? Should I hit myself in the face with the driver or 3 wood?

You said the same exact thing in the beginning! Not opposite. FYI!
