Retroactive jelaousy, if severe, is impossible to overcome without accepting the fact of karma and past lives, deep understanding how relationships work through several lives, and without hard spiritual work being put in. That's my experience. I've been doing it for many years now, and still I am half of the way.

Do you mean that karma acts in different lives or it can act in the SAME life at different levels? Can you explain more? Thanks. I wonder if the previous engagements/dates (sexual too) are meant to make a sense, in order to give a more structured maturity and awareness.
