Man my mom's in the hospital for lung cancer she had for 5 years. I think it's her time to go. And when Zach said "you were fighting so hard and my hand in your hard I knew I had to be a man from that night on." That really got to me because I'm 16 years old and I spent the night with my mom in the hospital last night. Those lyrics hit too close to home. Iv cried so much. 🙏🙏Get better momma

I'm a 43 year old good ol boy life long TEXAN. Damn Zach you had to have known my wife and myself. You see my beloved wife died in my arms on March 16 2017 which absolutely devastated me in ways I never knew possible. This song is one of my favorite healing songs. My wife Heather and I would everyday sit on our back porch and watch the sunset, which in the panhandle of Texas we get some that are utterly beautiful. Now everytime I see one of our beautiful sunsets, that is my sweet Heather just telling me that she's alright. Zach everytime you do a love song about a man and a woman it really sounds like you are writing about Heather and myself, there is no way around it you had to have known us and the very rare type of love we shared. You've single handedly helped mend my shattered heart that came from her death. THANK YOU a thousand times over AND NEVER EVER STOP PLAYING YOU'RE MUSIC, PS please come play Amarillo

I'm 29. I remember the first time I heard this song. My mother passed away in August of 19' from breast cancer. I'm a Navy veteran that disregarded this part of my life as she was passing, as there were so many conflicts between my mama and I at the time. Moving forward 5 years, I remember the last moments with her, I remember the last words I ever said to her, I remember what she said to me. Death is the most human thing about being human, the existential reminder that time ticks, and every day that we live, is just another chance to embrace the fact that the beautiful moments are unpaid for. Every interaction is a fleeting moment that most of us only realize retrospectively. Zach is famous because he connects with what makes us human...

I want yaw to know that God along with Zack Bryan’s music a saved my life. Six months ago around Christmas I was ready to end it! I was tired, souls worn thin. I had reached the end of my rope, literally and figuratively. I had never heard of Zach Bryan until six months ago.. the first song I heard was pink skies, needless to say it brought me to tears. His songs and music has really helped me to get through some trying times and I appreciate it .. Listen I know it’s a lot of people after going through a lot of things that are real bad right now, but it’s gonna be OK.. I know you might not seem like it right now, but I promise you it’s gonna be OK. Just take a deep breath and make it through today and then tomorrow will worry about it when it gets here. I just want praise God and thank him, and send a shout out to Zach Bryan! Love your music man! Salute 🫡

The first time I heard this song, it was being played by an amazingly talented young man in Scotland named William in a Facebook group and I cried so hard for so long. I've had three former girlfriends pass away, not while we were a couple, but we've always been good with each other, and that song hit me. I have lost so many friends and classmates in the last three years, for reasons I don't know. I talked to him on Facebook Messenger, and he said, 'I’m sorry to hear that, man, but you need to remember all of our time here is borrowed, and we have to return the vessel once we are done. They’ll be watching, trust me.' He continued, '...Fighting through winter here, dude. I’m a survivor of uncomfortable situations, so although it’ll be a few months before it warms up, I might hit the streets soon. Most of my playing will be on cliff tops with my old buddies though, where I want it to be.' Within all his struggles, he said to me, 'Also, you got younger friends here now; you ain’t going out lonely, my old boy.' To which I replied, '...the love you take is equal to the love you make. Take care, brother.' And so I say to you all, take care of each other. Take care.

My mother suffered from systemic schleroderma got sick when I was 10, it got really bad towards the end, and she self medicated with alcohol and took her own life when I was 20. It had progressed and started to affect her organs and mind. I used to call her phone to hear her vm recording until they reassigned her number. I'm 42 now and I listen to the songs you talk about her and how close you were to your mother. I'd give anything for more memories and just to talk to her one more time. I raised my 10 year old sister and my father drank himself almost to death. And I have issues with addiction. My son was born 4 years after she passed he just joined the Navy this year and got me listening to your music. He relates and it's helped him so much, he's had his heart broken and has seen so much pain in our family. You tell his story and mine at the same time. I've been reading comments from a lot of your songs and people connect with your words more than you could ever comprehend... Don't put that pen down son, and thank you for your service to this country and for your gift.

I lost my mom to Covid-19 in 2020 during the pandemic. This song has been playing on repeat since I first heard the song. I feel and have my moms last voicemail and text messages during Mother’s Day. Before she went into the ICU. It wasn’t that long we lost her and I feel comforted by this song like it was meant for me to hear by her because she loved music. I feel like I was meant to hear this song and funny thing is. That I heard it..at the right time and the right place ..as if.she was telling me that she was alright don’t worry about me

Well, the moon in New York tonight was beautiful I wish you were around to see it too I'm so happy I could cry, why'd you have to go and die like that? It's a shame when people ain't around to see The smiles that they nurture, the laughter they breed These people don't know me, and I don't plan on showing what I've seen And I threw up on a corner in Philadelphia She said, "Boy, there ain't no real point in helping ya" The only thing you've ever owned were high hopes and a pocket comb, you fool So don't act like you know who I am 'Cause the more I'll explain, the less you'll understand Them assholes downtown are the only ones around that even try So look up tonight The moon, she's shining, and we'll be alright 'Cause she's still smiling The city lights'll blow mama's mind The more I search, the less I find But I'm alright 'Cause she's here tonight Oh, she's alright And I still recall the night you're heading home You were fighting so hard, I knew you couldn't be alone Your hand in my hand, I knew I had to be a man from that night on And I'll tell you all these stories one day And we'll laugh like we used to and waste the night away You'll say, "Boy, how I've missed ya, " but son, I was with you this whole time So look up tonight The moon, she's shining, and we'll be alright 'Cause she's still smiling The city lights'll blow mama's mind The more I search, the less I find But I'm alright 'Cause she's here tonight Oh, she's alright She's alright Oh, she's alright The moon in New York tonight was beautiful I wish you were around to see it too I'm so down that I could cry, why'd my best friend up and die like that? Hey, baby, um, I just wanna see what you're doing I love you, bye-bye
