My first dirt bike was a TTR-230 a few years ago. Before i bought it I have never rode a dirt bike before and was looking at a Yamaha 426. After buying the 230 and a few drunken wipeouts later with no riding gear I'm glad I started off with a smaller bike. One thing I will say is the 230 made for a good backwoods trail riding bike. With its light weight and smaller size I was able to get through some really nice trails with ease and if I ever got stuck it was easy to get myself out. It also had just enough balls to conquer what I was up against.

Hey could u give me some tips on jumping a dirt bike?
@nixon51325 жыл бұрын
Zerxizm I’m a beginner and just starting jump some big tables at my track, some advice that I would give to you as a novice is to just take it slow at the start jumping will eventually come but as you approach the face be at a neutral body position and role on the throttle smoothly but just to start don’t clear the jump just role up to the jump and role on the throttle you may not clear the jump that’s fine but just keep doing that until your comfortable in the air and your landing smoothl, remember if you give to much throttle at the top you might loop out and if you get if the power at the top you can endo, go over the bars, so keep the power nice and even and balance where our landing nice ( front wheel first, back wheel first or both just experiment with the power, if u let off the front will dive, if you gas it at the top the front will lift and u will land on the rear wheel, once your comfortable in the air and landing than you can start giving it more power, just remember it needs to be nice and smooth no chops of acceleration or deceleration, u will eventually start to clear the jump nice and smoothly and remember to stand up but, equal out your weight with power or power with weight, but you defiantly get the hang of it, also if your a bit nose heavy you can panic rev to bring the back wheel down so it’s lower then the front and if you tap your back brake with the clutch in it will bring your front wheel down just in case your doing a wheely in the air just to even out the landing on both wheels, rather than all the force on one, hope this helps and please ask if there was something that didn’t make sense, also I would recommend just rolling gap jumps or doubles just until you can clear most tables with confidence just cause there more forgiving and if you case a double their hard and you can go over the bars, also just KZbin a lot of vids on it as well they explain it well
@SunShine-pn1gl5 жыл бұрын
Nixon Yea thanks for the help. So yea I go to dell valle to ride and I jump most of the jumps but just a few that I roll over just cause I’m not ready to jump it but every time I roll over the jumps I’m getting more air every time. But yea I’m just gonna take it slow over the jumps until I’m ready for it thanks
