Die Kantate wurde von Zachows Schüler Georg Friedrich Händel bearbeitet; (nur) in dieser Form ist sie auf uns gekommen. Genauen Umfang und Anlass der Bearbeitung kennen wir nicht. Jedenfalls ein ganz besonderes Werk.
