Shore Excursions Group is FANTASTIC Used them in Alaska and the reposition from Seattle to Miami. Highly recommend. They are the only "outside" shore company we will use because of our experience if we don't do a ship excursion. My husband is REALLY PICKY. He is afraid to miss the ship, must be a FF/Medic thing. lol The stained glass in churches, whether you practice a faith or not, are beautiful, The craftsmanship needs to be admired and celebrated. I can do the cable cars as long as I look OUT and UP and not down. Otherwise total panic attack, no matter what I'm in. Even bridges, especially suspension bridges. IDK why but my DH knows, Do NOT talk to me if I'm driving on a suspension bridge . Just turn the music to something I love so I can concentrate.

We were there six weeks ago and believe me when I tell you, we were *_lost!!!_* We were given the impression that we would be porting at Amber Cove and had made all our arrangement's based on that. Needless to say we ended up in Taíno Bay and didn't even know it. We finally got our orientation and visited Vivonte Cigars. Anyone into cigars should visit Vivonte and be sure to say hello to the owner Glenn Hamilton for me.

I really enjoyed this video, you showcased the beauty of Puerto Plata wonderfully. You are a great tour guide for us watching at home. Thanks for the tip about using Shore Excursions Group, I was always hesitant to book tours with companies that weren’t cruise ship sponsored but this video put my mind at ease. You make excellent videos. We made it up on the mountain and Gardens just in December. Was a great excursion. Watch out for the gift shop prices though, ha. Can't wait to go back to Puerto Plata.

I have always booked excursions outside of the cruise ship and have never had a problem. One time we had a two hour drive away from port and still made it back with plenty of time. Just do your research on the companies!

TAKE THE CABLE CAR AND GO TO SEE THE CHRIST IN THE MOUNTIAN IT IS ONLY 10.00 DOLLARS. AND THEY ALSO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL FOREST AND GARDENS UP THERE. YOU CAN OLSO SEE THE CLOUDS NEAR YOU.
