This is some next level s***! I had been playing the drums for years (rock) and didn't even know what a Samba was...😮 I think that flowing over foot osteanatos is one the most difficult challenges. I've only seen a handful of people talk about this, and I've never seen anyone go quite this deep on it, Thnx. I have stuff to practice for a decade now!

In 1974 I attended a drumwork shop instructed by Alan Dawson. He showed these same patterns and used brushes while verbally lecturing about the usefulness of these patterns. This was during the jazz fusion development days. I am glad to see Issac instructing these patterns again!

the part with the rudiments reminds me of the rudimental ritual . one of the best exercises for building independence and using rudiments as phrases . either with samba feet pattern or any other feet ostinato
