When I listen to Zack's music, I become more introspective, focused, and calm. I find great solace and strength because of this. It's truly amazing what music can do for people. Listening to Ronin helped me in times where inner strength of the fullest extent was required. Great song as always.

With this one I see the Giant going on his daily walk through the endless graveyard of his race (and maybe specifically his family, children, wife, father, mother...), contemplating how he's the last giant left on the world as he looks at the colossal graves, living alone in some outskirt of the planet pondering the burden of carrying the legacy of an entire race, now extinct. Thinking about better days when he wasn't the last giant and how that history ends with him, bound to fade into myth alongside all his loved ones, as tears start to overcome him. For even a giant cries. Particularly when Zack Hemsey is providing his brilliant music.

I think the giant is crying because he killed his unlikely friend after he crossed him. Amongst the bodies died in his own hands, he sits next to the one's face he knows, the one who he trusted, against all odds. He is experiencing all sorts of pain. The pain of guilt, the pain of betrayal, and the pain of knowing that it will be very hard to trust again. Maybe impossible. He sits and wishes that everything could have been different, that there was a way for him to go back and not kill his only friend. His dead body is so small in his gigantic hands.

At last the Giant finds his friend in a blood pool. He picks him up. The man is so small in the Giant's hands. The Giant lets out one big roar before succumbing to rage. He swears to kill every last one of those whom are seeking to end his race. In his agony and despair, The Giant became what he swore he would never become.
