Gunn made a post that claims that was a positive fact that it was a real suit, not one that could be hidden under a shirt at all. Which again I personally believe it shows Gunn's lack of comic book insight. The whole point was the symbolism of the S under the suit showing that beneath the disguise of Clark Kent, was the real him, Superman.

It looks like CW quality, it looks more like Captain America than Superman... it has massive BATMAN vibes having the stupid collar, and being bulky like he's wearing a motorcycle jacket.. not to mention the entire shot is Batman esque copied right from the TDK where Bale is sitting holding the cowl with city behind him, depressed... Supermans suit should look like an extension of his skin, it should feel Alien. I am more of a Batman fan ..but I kinda never Iiked the underwear outside pants thingy / neither for Superman nor for Batman. (in comics it may look ok but in live action (or video games with great graphics) I dislike it). I also have a rapper in my country who said in a past song ,,''Smart'' as Superman.. I put my underwear outside my pants'' 🤣 In my case I do like the more modern take on these characters when they try to remove the underwear / trunk on their costume design.
